Gerstlauer "Les Speed Rockets" in Paris - Tinnitus because of noise !!!

Hello,

On the Gerstlauer roller coaster « Les Speed Rockets » in Paris at the « Jardin d’acclimatation » park, I heard a single very high level clunky metalic « clack » sound just before each car was going to ascend the lift hill.
As I remember this sound occured when a car just arrived above the first bottom gear.

As it occured just before climbing, I would say this sound was not related to the anti rollback "click-clack" clicking sound that usually occurs when the car ascends the roller coaster lift hill.

Then, when ascending the hill I heard the normal clicking of the anti-rollback at the bottom and at the top of the hill, the sound level was very fine.

I don't understand why the roller coaster have not been closed until this issue was solved as this sound was very loud and there was many young childs.
As for me, I have tinnitus in both ears since then !!! ☹

Does someone have an explanation about this single heavy sound ?

Unfortunately, I didn’t make any video.
But as I was not able to find this very noisy sound on all YouTube videos I found, I think this sound was related to an issue the day I was there.

For example, on the following youtube vidéo, at 1mn40s, you can see a car before climbing the hill. You can see that there is no heavy noise heard in this video before ascending the lift hill.

And a more detail image concerning the first gear if it may help to find an explanation:

Many thanks for your help

If this issue only happened once while you were there then I think you've answered your own question about why the ride hasn't been closed.

Tinnitus is caused by prolonged exposure to loud sounds. My ears ring after a concert, but it goes away after a short period of time.

Sorry for my English if I was not clear but this sound happened many times !
It was heard once just before a new car was going to ascend the hill, so it occured more than 100 times as I was waiting for about 45mn before onboarding.
Also, just before onboarding this sound was even louder because I was closer to the mechanism and I think you have sound reflexion against the walls before onboarding that might have amplified the sound level.
