Georgia's Deja Vu expected to open in October

In a situation where many question the engineering of the Deja Vu coasters at three Six Flags parks, the Six Flags Over Georgia says that their coaster is expected to open in October. It is already several months overdue.

Excuse me mr sfmm_fa_life your tellin me and DWeaver to stop frontin? Well It looks like you are just a little bit of a hipocryte. Why might you ask? well cause lets see here:

1) Your name is SFMM_fa_life, I am assuming that your name stands for the fact that you like Six Flags Magic Mountain, well then shut your mouth when you bash on one of the roller coasters in your favorite park!!

2)Have you ridden the ride? No cause it isnt open yet, so dont bash it until it does you any harm!! Oh and to add to that, if they opened it sooner you might have been one of the first riders to plummit to your death because the ride wasnt tested properly.

3) Are you a Expert ride designer? No? I didnt think so, then dont be talkin crap about vekoma until you can do their job better than them, ok.

4) are you mad that X isnt even testing yet? last time I checked dejavu was done with vertical construction before X even started. So dont tell me and DWeaver to shut up and stop frontin, ok? Have a nice day:)
HAHAHAHA have a nice day. Anyways....I'm still looking forward to riding DeJa Vu on opening day, even if it's after i start school again. Hey, anybody know how heavy the testing dummies that Vekoma uses to test their rides, I've heard anywhere from 150 to 300 pounds.

LOL! All I can do is laugh. Because these same people bashing Deja Vu will be knocking me down to get to the ride when it opens. ;)

do you think this goes for every Deja Vu? Are all of them going to open in october, cuz the SFMM Deja vu seems to be having less problems than the georgia.
yeah at SFGAM the train isnt even on the track yet. so when is this gonna be?
This is a good lesson for Six Flags, NEVER buy prototypes in numbers! If there was only one Delayja Vu Vekoma and Six Flags could devote all problem solveing and machineing capasity to one ride. Then they would have less problems later donthe road when they start the asembaly line ;-) .

well, SFMM's DeJaVu has already got its test dummies and should open in about a month.
X and thrill shot should open in about a month.

CoasterCameron, please check your spelling before you post so the rest of us can understand your point better.

Maybe they should of started earlier so the people would have more time to ride it during the season.

Maybe a case of false advertising, too. That is because of all the promoting.

Exactly. The people who rip Deja Vu to shreds will indeed run with the stampede of guests to ride it once it opens.

The same can be said about all those petty CP vs. SFMM arguments. You can bet that the SFMM die-hards who bash Millennium Force would jump at the chance to ride it, given an opportunity. And the CP die-hards who are so critical of Goliath (and now X) would do everything in their power to ride those coasters, if they ever visited California.

It's all very repetitive and extremely predictable.
i agree with u islandKG. like, here r some of the matchups
riddlers revenge vs. mantis
powertower and vertigo vs. thrill shot
millenium force vs. goliath
corkscrew vs. viper
and now X vs. ????
but anyways, dejavu at SFMM is opening soon, X will open in late august, and thrill shot is opening soon.

I've heard Thrill Shot would open in 2 weeks, I doubt it though, they don't even have the queue lines made yet.

I tend to agree with Ryan. SFMM did a lot of advertising of "the new coasters at SFMM" in which they made it sound like they were already open. Not once did they mention that they were "opening soon" or whatever. Instead, they did a whole big promo for people to buy season passes by pushing "the new coasters". I took advantage of the season pass offer....but no biggie, I get a pass every year. Sure, I want them to open the rides soon...but I realize that they gotta go what they gotta do.I'm patient, I'll wait.....I'll be there the day they open...but until then......
SFGAM got in trouble with the state of Illinois over that very issue. They were advertising "Record-breaking season - 2 world class coasters in one year" not mentioning anything about Dega Vu not being open yet. They had to pull back their advertising on Dega Vu which is a major task since all the ads were already all over TV, radio, flyers and billboards in the Chicago area.
I for one was one of the people that went to the park assuming it was open only to find out it wasn't even built all the way yet. Luckily V2 was open and is an awesome ride so all was not lost.
its DeJaVu soxman...and thrill shot has its line paves
thrill shot is gonna be the last coaster to start and the first to open
my bad
The Delay Ja Vu at SFoG has also had the motors removed as of Thursday,8/2 when I had the fortune to make one of those (ahem) business trips and caught a couple of hours there. Warning, rumor ahead, stop reading if you don't want to hear it. According to one park employee at SFoG, one of the problems they had there was dummies falling out of their restraints! Rumor Over. It really sucks, I have stood less than 100 feet from all 3 Delay Ja Vu's and haven't got to ride one yet!!!
