Lawmakers in Georgia have drafted a bill that would give a sales tax rebate to any developer that would spend $25 million or more to build a resort destination in Georgia. The proposed legislation is designed to attract large tourist destinations the likes of which the state has never seen. The bill is crafted after a Kentucky law that has attracted $500 million in investment with an estimated economic impact of more than $5 billion over the last 10 years.
