Why would you just blatantly rip off text from someone's site and post it as if you wrote it yourself? That's lame.

This is almost too funny.

Can you tell me how you got this press release? Was it via e-mail? Did you see it on the web somewhere?

I wrote that article myself. I didn't copy and paste any press release.

There's nothing wrong with presenting press releases from Cedar Point or any other park. But when I do, it is clearly noted. This article, however, is mine. You must have copied and pasted that straight from Virtual Midway, because that is the only place it exists. If it does exist somewhere else, please let me know.

I actually got the press release from Cedar Point (I subscribe to their newsletter, which is sent out from funtimes@cedarpoint.com) It says essentially the same thing as what was posted on Virtual Midway, but the wording is different. It's possible that Walt (Gemini) adapted the press release, but didn't copy it word for word... probably out of respect for the park.

Anyway - enough negativity.... Happy 25th Gemini ! (Which game me my best ride ever last week BTW)

Here's to 25 more!

Actually, I thought Walt's was more thorough and well written than the "blurb" that CP sent in the newsletter.

Anyways, this is one ride that is hard to dislike in my opinion. Smooth, and loads of fun.

It is my favorite straight racing coaster, nothing beats it.

Yeah Gemini is liked by almost everyone. Its a good coaster with airtime and hand slapping. I watch it everyday from my stand where I work at Cedar Point. Its fun to guess which train will win.

Has anybody else noticed that the outside train, I think it is red, has a faster chain speed than the inside. The outside lines itself up perfectly with the inside train at the peak of the lift. I noticed that one day in line.

So if your in the outside and you get dispatched even a second before the inside you most likley will leave the inside train in your dust.

Happy 25th Birthday Gemini!

I had lots of fun riding it durring Coastermainia. At first they only have 3/5 of a single red train running, but it was soon joined up with the blue train I got the first run on the blue train when they open that side up. Becasue it was sitting there for a long time it wasn't quite warmed up like the red train was so we got beat hard, in face the red train was already unloaded when we made it to the station. Durring that one practicular ride it barly made it up on to the first turn around, and almost rolled back, that was when the red train left us in the dust. The everyone on the train was paddling and yelling "stroke, stroke, stroke" around the rest of the turnarounds. This made for a most memorable ride on Gemini. I simply stayed there durring the whole time Gemini was open durring Coastermania ERT.

And I'll never, ever, ever, ever, ever make a song about the Sibbie.

I got to sign one of the banners today. I feel really special! The lady at Town Hall said the banners will be displayed somewhere sometime soon, but she didn't say where.

Here's to another 25 years, and another 25 after that!

Keep on hand-smackin!

Ok now I feel old. It seems like it was only a couple of years ago that it was Brand new. One of my favorites though and the first one I ever rode that felt like I was going to loose my head on that first hill.

It was good to ride Gemini yesterday. They were actually racing the trains. Happy birthday to me and Gemini a day late!
