Is RWB really a solid woody though?

Last time I saw it was solid woody. (you mean as opposed to an 'erector set woody' like Villain, right?) (no sarcasm intended) *** Edited 8/15/2007 3:39:08 PM UTC by FLYINGSCOOTER***

I have always found it to be really boring. And since the re-tracking it seems to just coast along with no real single moment of fun. Thats just my opinion though.

I guess I would say it's a smaller scale of fun. It's more charming than intense . . . and there's nothing wrong with that. RWB is a modern reconstruction of a classic design, and should be appreciated in those terms. I tell you what: if you gave me a choice of riding Voyage ten times in a row (without getting off or more than the barest pause in the station) or ten rides on RWB, I'd have to take the latter.

Villain's second half seems to be where the most work was done, and on the turn arounds. The problem is the first two drops, where you get jackhammered to death. Of course, that causes a lot of loss in speed, so the second half is slower and then it's hard to judge if it's smoother or just slow. I do recall reading somewhere that they'll do the rest this winter, so I'm crossing my fingers.

Didn't Six Flags replace the first half of
RWB the season before they sold it off?
I remember it going from smooth to jackhammer for one season.

It was a great fake-out though. We thought, hey, they fixed it and reality struck.

\/ thanks. *** Edited 8/17/2007 1:32:48 PM UTC by FLYINGSCOOTER***

I belive your thinking of Raging Wolf Bobs. The retracking of that was started prior to Cedar Fair taking over. IIRC
