Geauga Lake Rumors 2006

From Zero G Network.com

"Some digging is being done down in the back corner of the south side parking lot, I'm not sure what they are doing back there. Work is being done on Wolf Bobs, I think they are re-tracking the rest of the ride and replacing some of the supports. Not much else is going on.

Now let's move on to the rumors and random info. Surveying has been spotted around the Shark building and MBT area. Word has it, they will be digging up the parking lot behind MBT after the waterpark closes for the season. We all know this was the rumored area for the hyper coaster, could they be going forth with there plans?

Remember the road SF relocated around the north side parking lot? Well, I heard it maybe relocated once again, so it dosen't run along side the parking lot. Not sure why they would do so, unless they are planning on expanding the park or the parking lot in that direction. Who knows.

Anyway, I hope everyone here likes walking between the north and south sides of the park, the ferry boats are MIA. They may of been taken out for repairs, but the info I gather is leaning towards that the boats may not return.

Since they already taken out Hydes, will we see another big ride come down? Head Spin is said to be next in line, however, it may not be leaving the park, they might relocate it somewhere else with in the park. Old waterpark area maybe? Can we see that hyper coaster coming soon? Maybe anther big expantion planned? I quess we all have to wait and see what happends in the years to come."

I know I'll probably get heat for thinking this, but perhaps Kinzel has more planned for his retirement than just the CP expansion? Perhaps a GL Dry ride expansion finally?............ *** Edited 2/17/2006 1:05:53 AM UTC by lakecrystal***

It's hard to say. I thought of a Screamin Swing going in the area where Mr. Hyde's was, but that's just me.

The "tracked" areas of the Bobs was running AWESOME last year. I am glad to hear they are finishing the job.

I always thought the next ride to go would have been the Monorail... hope not!

Relocating The Boomerang wouldn't be the smartest thing to do. The ride never has a line, and though I like it, they should just pack it up and move it to Sandusky. I wouldn't mind it up there.

Super Venom is another prime example of rides to remove. That thing takes a lot of cash to run, and it also has a realitively short line (at least from my recent park experiences) That would be a good ride for either Knotts or MIA.

I'd say if those were to go, they should put in a few flats and a 50's themed spinning coaster.

As for extening the road around the parking lot. I'd say "Bravo"! Land is getting tight over there with all the retail and suburban development going on, the park should secure it's space and allow plenty of feet away from screaming neighbors, even if it does mean a lot of valueable land at stake.
