Geauga Lake: Oktoberfest and Halloween Haunt Details

Go to http://www.geaugalake.com/ and check out the big shiny links on the right side to read about this year's Oktoberfest and Halloween Haunt. The biggest news I guess would be that as expected the Haunt attractions are now included in admission. Sounds like a great time to go check out Geauga Lake a second time this year.
Yeah, they also have a full page add for the Haunt in their park map this year.

It is good to see that they are free this year. Though, anyone who paid for them last year didn't look very hard for disounts since there were MANY free passes for the haunted houses. And the last weekend was also free. But none the less people don't even have to worry this year.

The BIGGEST thing, that I'm worried/wondering about:
SFWoA was one of the BEST decorated parks in the Nation the past 2 years. If not better thand Universal or Knott's Scary Farm. SFWoA looked unblelivable, they spared no expense when it came to deocorating and having MANY awesome monsters/actors on the midways. I'm wondering how much CF/GL kept from the decorations that SFWoA used, and if GL will use them. SFWoA was a 1000 times better decorated than it's sister park Cedar Point (which was definetly more family toned.) I'm wondering if GL will it tone it down this year...it's not that they have to tone it down, but SFWoA had something themed on EVERY building, which added so much to the feel of Halloween.

Not to mention how awesome SFWoA entrance to the park was. I hope GL keeps all that.

If you look in the boneyard while going up the Villain's lift, you can still see the Gatekeeper's gazebo, most of the Brutal Planet props, and even the Ice Scream Truck from the SF Halloween events. Who knows if they'll use any of the old stuff or if they'll just create new props... but it sounds like it's going to be an interesting "Haunt". I also find it interesting that there is a "Construction" page where we'll eventually be able watch progress on the creation of the haunted attractions.

I do like the GL website FAR better than the old SFWoA one. But to be honest, even parks like Waldameer, Conneaut Lake and Williams Grove have better sites than SFWoA had! ;)
