Geauga Lake----Why bother?

Jeff, I'll say it for you "There is no South Side!"

Well the park runs next to 43. If your heading towards Sea World you were heading South on 43. If you were heading from Sea World to GLP you were heading north. State Route 43 was the reason the sides were referred to as North and South. Mainly because employee giving directions would say take 43 North etc..........

If Cedar Fair would of tried to learn how to run an animal park while having to do a major over haul on two large parks in a short amount of time it would be to much strain and it would have been pointless resulting in maybe two failed parks. I think Cedar Fair is going to stick with what they are good at. The park already sounds like it is a lot better and is addressing issues that people noticed with the park on opening day. So hopefully this Saturday people will have an even better experience with two more rides running more trashcans and other little things making the park better as a whole. It’s going to take Cedar Fair a year or two at least to get this park up to the level they want it at. Once they have GL running like clockwork then I think they will figure out what they want to do with the Wild life side.
ok, so you all miss the wildlife big deal, who cares? Yes, I admit the animals were nice to have at the park for the shows, Geauga Lake could survive all this time without them, plus they had rides for the family that none of you remember...or if you do you might have forgotton that Geauga Lake did have family activities there.

Now, as for what the new activities or attractions at the park are for the future remains to be seen. Cedar Fair has its' plans for the park, if you don't like it then don't go! Geauga Lake can run perfectly its just going to need a few years to become more succesful because of the BIG TRANSFORMATION.

The other thing I can never get is why everyone judges the park before the future comes. How does anyone know whether the park will be successful, If Cedar Fair L.P. does this correctly I think everything will turn out just fine. Yes it does suck that there's only 1/3 of the park open, but look to the future, and what the possibilities are for this park... And with that...think on it! :)

Mr./Ms. Wildlife Fan,

What are these other Sea World parks that are seasonal? I don't think there is even one. Am I misinformed?

Bad service was what started SF's whole problem. I think that SFO was bad enough. The straw that broke the camel's back was the purchase of SW. I didn't once visit the park when it was SFWoA, and I think that a lot of other people didn't either.

It's was a giant mess, but I don't blame anyone, not SF, not SW, and definately not CF for the animals leaving.

My local Boston Market was built in '99, and than in '03 sold their building to friendly's. Boston Market didn't draw as much business as they needed to keep the place open. On the other hand, Friendly's is now doing very, very well.

EDIT-I missed page 2 and 3 of this thread. oops. *** Edited 5/7/2004 1:23:12 AM UTC by dexter***
