Mansfield company Adena Corp., known for building rollercoasters, had a helping hand this winter in constructing Cedar Point’s new, highly anticipated roller coaster, GateKeeper. :) All jokes, aside, I have to agree.
Just got my first image of the lighting package, and it's simply stunning.
Hee hee...package...
But seriously, it's neat learning about the companies you don't hear much about but who play such an essential role in bringing these coasters to life.
13 Boomerang, 9 SLC, and 8 B-TR clones

White spotlights can never look too bad....
Multi-color LEDS lighting up the keyholes above the entrance; and spots under nearly every footer along the course.
An interesting item the article fails to mention is that Gary Gast, VP of Adena, was formerly the Director of Maintenance for Cedar Point. Gary was one of the good guys and someone who knew how to get things done in an era when getting things done without Kinzel's interference was quite an endeavor. Happy to see that Gary is doing well post-Alcatraz.
I knew that name was familiar. I had heard of Adena before - I know they have installed several of the more recent CP coasters, but I didn't think that company was where I had heard the name.

And as of last week (I'm sure until the end of time) Maverick's heartline roll track peices is still in front Adena's Mansfield location. You can see it driving on US 30, south of the highway.

I have often thought that CP should put a peice of Maverick's heartline roll in the ride graveyard for HalloWeekends.
