GADV's exclusive season pass days

I recieved an email saying that GADV would have a day exclusivly for season pass holders on Sunday April 11th. I had a few questions about it.

First of all, would I be able to use my BRING A FRIEND FREE coupon a got when I purchased my pass to bring in a friend who DOES NOT have a season pass?

Also, what are the hours??

Any info you guys have would be great....thanks!

Call and/or e-mail the park. I'm sure they can answer your questions. (or just ask at guest relations on opening day). *** Edited 3/16/2004 12:10:56 AM UTC by ApolloAndy***

Another thing about that exclusive day, it is not so exclusive. A group from NYC comes in as well, and bring about 40,000 people with them. It is usually packed :(

You best shot is CAD on April 2nd. As Andy said, call ahead with questions, and post the answers here, I am interested too.

O man.....scratch that idea then!

haha....thanks

I think the 11th might just be season pass holders this year. In the past, I could've sworn that they advertised it as "season pass holders and another special group". Now, it's just saying it's exclusively for season pass holders.

Been there, done that. Do NOT go on the 11th. It will be worse than crowds on regular operating days. The park has been bought out for a private event (usually by Jewish organizations as it is Easter Sunday) and they are simply allowing season pass holders in as a "perk".

edit : I also wanted to add that the Coasters After Dark event is still scheduled for April 2nd before the park opens for the season. This is strictly a SP holder only event. *** Edited 3/16/2004 9:00:30 PM UTC by RTneedsTLC***

As in for ANY Six Flags season pass holder or just ones for Great Adventure.
When are the season pass PRE-processing days? I haven't seen any advertising for them...

Has anyone called or e-mailed the park yet to confirm what's going on with the park on the 11th? I was planning on going there on the 11th, but if it's going to be packed with people from a private event as well I'll skip it.

I just got it straight from one of the PR ladies--this year the 11th is season pass holders ONLY. The other group WILL NOT be there this year.

Sue
Are we able to use our bring a friend free coupons?
Thanks for clearing that up Sue :)

This will be the first time in MANY years that it wasn't also a private event. Crap, now I may need to change my Easter plans lol.

Yeah? No kidding? Maybe I should re-phrase. How does one go about attending coasters after dark? Is it an open invite? Is the park open later?

The park is not open to the general public at all that day, only season passholders. CAD is being held on April 2nd this year, from 5-10 PM. Season passes will be on sale that night. This should be one of the best yet, since it is being held before the season even begins, it should be pretty empty. Usally CAD is held after a normal operating day, and sometimes you get alot of GP sticking around, though last year it rained :)

Thanks for the info Sue. I will try to give them a call on Monday to find out about the Bring a friend passes.

Well, the good news is, as Sue had said, there is no other event going on on the 11th of April, that event is on Thursday this year.

The bad news, Bring-a-Friend passes will NOT be accepted. ONLY season pass holders will be allowed in. :(

Does anyone know what the hours are for April 11th?

The operating hours calendar is posted on the Six Flags website. Just click the calendar on the right-hand side to get to April.

The park will be open 10-8 on the 11th.
