Today was my schools annual physics trip, and it was FUN!
1. NITRO was having a minor problem when the park opened which took about 25mins to fix. I realized that NITRO's far end seats from the queing are the best. You see the entire park, see the matinence section, get INSIDE the hammer head, and get INSIDE the Helixs! Nitro was running VERY fast today. Nothing like I have ever been on before, but I must say after 29 rides it's gettiting a bit boring. Anyone notice that about their own park?
2. Medusa was having serious problems! When we were sitting in the front row, the ride had some techincal difficulties. They first started out with some test runs, then out of no where the ride opps started violently waving to someone by the corkscrews and pointing at the brakes. It kind of scaried me cause Medusa's empty train was racing through the corba roll. The train did an emercancy stop on the mid-brakes which was mad weird! I've never seen that before. Well after that Medusa closed for about 3 hours, too long for me to go back.
3. Viper was Very rough, like it wasn't at one point in time or another.??? I still wonder why they couldn't get some new Restraints!
4. The Scream Machine- this is serious. The Scream Machine is offical "unridealbe"! That ride is way to rough to be a major attration! I blacked out twice in the butterfly loop, and had to keep my head forward- yes which is very dangerous- to keep from getting a concusion! That is not right, in my opinion Great Adventure should DEFINALY invest in some sort of new heavly padded restraints! That ride isn't even close to fun anymore. But in the end I rode it twice. Anoyone know wyhy they haven't?
5. Batman and Robin The Chiller: Still not operating.
I spoke to one of the people working on the queing- He was digging something up???- and he said the ride is all ready but Great Adventure wants to make some few alterations then open it either tommorow(Saturday May 18th) or Memorial Day weekend. I smiled since the ride was openig before the universe implodes. The Batman train was behind the station but Robin's was nowhere in sight.
TURBO FORCE!- Single greatest flat pay ride EVER!(IMO)
I spent 44 dollars for 5 ride on TURBO FORCE!! That ride is SO great!
I forgot to check the construction going on in the forst but I'm sure nothing is going to start until about September-October

BTW, Raging Bull seemed to be running fast today, or maybe it being so cold made it feel fast. Was AC running fast? Maybe all 3 US B&M Megas are linked somehow ;)

Cause the open air, much less proteced seats on SkyScrapers makes for a much greater ride.
Also, the Robin Train, as I've said before, is still in the maintenance sheds as 5 separate cars.
