Not much to say. Single train op on Nitro with 1 seat in back row out of order.

1 trip on S:UF as it got stuck on the lift and needed to be evacuated. It ran two trains for a bit (so I hear), then ran 1 then ran two again....then got stuck. The flying aspect is nice, but I think the positioning for the Vekomas is better (more laying down instead of sitting forward). We rode in 8 and the pretzel was insane. Huge G's that knocked the wind out of me. From what I hear, the last row packs as much punch as SFoG's (haven't ridden it yet). The rest of the ride was smooth and fun, but not too thrilling. A little on the slow side and the inline twist wasn't particularly interesting. I like the Vekoma trains and layout better, and so far, the reliability seems to be about the same (although from what I hear SFoG's runs quite well where as Batwing and X-Flight are still in crap land after two full operating seasons).

It was really cold and we didn't see much point in sticking around for the ERT. We'll go tomorrow and hope thing are running better.

I don't know about X-Flight but Batwing ran flawlessly on sunday (4/13/03) I wish I could've said the same thing about Mind Eraser.
It is a good thing you did not stick around.

Nitro continued one train operation through the ERT, that figitty last seat could be used by someone that is much thinner then I, and they staple that someone in.

Much to the shagrin of everyone there, Superman did not re-open. I left at about 9:30 and they were just putting the water dummies back on for testing. Not a good day at all for SFGAdv, the evening news evidently picked up on Superman's evacuation, and I am told there was a video on the news. Will see at 11. I did get some good pictures of it too.

Superman was running 2 trains with very slow load time during the media ERT. At around 11:45, they unloaded train 1. It was opened to the public at noon, and around 12:15, they went back to two trains. We had a suspicion that it was going to be too cold to ride Nitro, and our single lap on Medusa confirmed that. Hard to believe that it was 80 only one day ago!
