I wouldn't jump the gun here. That might be an expansion, it might not. Have to wait a while longer until some real activity is going on. That area is not really that accessible. A bridge or something would need to be built over the lake. Access back there is limited. Just have to wait and see what is really going on.

Ok, i see a formation that can be built into a bridge now. However, if they do expand there, i dont see it being ready for a while since a lot of construction in the way of a bridge and such will need to be done. Its a wait and see game. It might be new attractions, or could be the long awaited hotel which six flags desperately needs. Hotels are not very close. Anything is possible at this point in time.

Hey Viper, what's happening to badnitrus, the site seems to be getting slower and slower, there are less updates on that site than imaginable. Just wondering, don't get offensive.

Fascinating, it seems as though they've been doing really well without one for how many years now?

If the shoe fits, find another one.

Odds my bodkins!!! Could this be another themed area with the rumored flying coaster over the lake. This will probaably make it the largest SF park in terms of land used.....oh wait, it already is.

Um, well, for one thing, I reported this about a week ago, so it's all old news.

For another, why would SF build a hotel in the middle of the woods, right next to the safari? Wouldn't you think they'd build it on the campground land that they own? It's righ next to the main entry road.

Next season is SFGAdv's 30th anniversary. Obviously, we'll be getting something huge.

Hold up your speculating. This clearing existed prior to the installation of Nitro. Let's not jump the gun to any conclusions.

ravenguy: If you think about it, there arent any hotels in the area. They have been wanting to put up a hotel for a while. This way visitors can go to the main park one day, and to the water park another day. Or something like that. They are trying to make the park a resort destination.

SFGAMDie Hard: We are still alive, and still working on coasters. For the past few months we have been working on projects for parks, that is why there hasn't been any updates to the site. However, we do have a few coasters that are very near completion. We should hopefully have a few up this month.

Check out the previous thread on this topic. there is a link there that show's the clearing and if you navigate the map toward Nitro, you will find it is also only a ground clearing and has not been built yet. Therefore this clearing was in fact there prior to Nitro.
