fyi's, thoughts, and a question concerning holiday world

I hate it when good jokes go over my head.

Look for added capacity in 2005.

Oh so you talked with GCII after all? ;) You told me not too long ago that you guys hadn't decided what you were adding next year yet -- you were pulling my leg weren't you. :)

Doesn't matter what you add next year, the MiG crew will be back.

Since when does "increased capacity" mean new rides?

Maybe they'll just add longer queues. That'd increase capacity!

Hi

Matthew,

I'm just giving Paula a hard time since she won't give us any "Easter eggs" about what next year's addition will be. Really the only way they could increase capacity at the park is build something new. The waterpark pretty much has the max amount of rafts out on all the rides. The park itself is at max, unless they lengthen Raven's station and add a second train (ala Legend). So what, if anything, could they do to increase capacity besides add something new?

Your guess is as good as mine!
I took added capacity to mean nothing more than things like extra parking. :)

I've often wondered from time to time, how to write good poetry- and make it all... Work.
Thing is...we don't know yet what we're adding next year. Capital budget requests are due next week...poor Will always gets bowled over with everyone's "wish list."

And before anyone asks...capital budget requests can only come from directors and a few managers at the park. :)

Figuring out a way to make Raven run two trains would help a bit. It's a short ride, but it's not so short that all of that idle time in between couldn't be spent loading another train! :)

Who was that old cartoon character who used to say, "Mmmmmmmmmmm....possibility!"?

The second train on Raven has been an interesting, and persistent, rumor...;)

Isn't there enough *straight track* (RCT term, LOL) to add transfer track for a second train on Raven's hillside? Just thinking....

What I would give to be a fly on the wall in those meetings...:)

Adding another train to Raven would be a wonderful idea, but then adding another woodie (has to be a GCII woodie) would be even better. You know if would be fun if you release the list of items on the "wish list" that didn't make the cut once you announce what you are adding, Paula. I just think that the board would be interested in the thinking process that you guys take when determining new attractions.

Can hardly wait to know more!

The conveyor belt was a great addition to Zinga! Those rafts were a pain in a butt to carry. :-)

"discounted gate admissions that allow families with both low and high incomes to enjoy a day at the park without breaking their budget. "

Is there a low-income family discount I haven't heard about? And what are the eligibility guidelines? Or did I misunderstand the statement? (Prices are very reasonable)!

What kind of discount do the 'high incomes' get? ;)
staceyd...

I think he was just meaning to say that the prices are reasonable and discounts are available.

That is what I figured but wanted to verify. I work in social services and would love to pass on any info that might help a family.
