Future of Six Flags ?

What Premiere Park has the most potential to become the next "Six Flags Magic Mountain"?

Many things have to be put in perspective:
-Room to expand?
-Good Location?
-Fun atmosphere?
-A key ride that makes people want to come back
for more? *** This post was edited by NoRulz2k on 8/31/2000. ***
SFGAm is almost there, but it gets hurt because of all the Ohio traffic. SFO would be there if they would clean up operations. I say SFGadv is already WAY up there.

DOWN WITH TRIM BRAKES!
Belive it or not, SFA has the potential. It has about 500 acres to build on, great local road acess, a large local, wealthy population base, and excellent acess to the rest of the east coast. It trully does have the potential to become one of if not THE Six Flags showcase park. Sorry if I sound like a fanatic, but that was what I was told by someone in the know.

Six Flags America IS a Six Flags park!
I seen MM on TV and I think SFoT is just as good. If we get the hyper it will be at the same pace a MM.

We have a invert, a wood twister, lim, and looper just like MM.

I've heard about big expansions for SFGAm, including an entertainment village and hotels. If any of this does come true, (they do have the room) then it could be one of the biggest (not that it isn't already).

Craig, I agree that SFGAm is hurt a little by Ohio traffic, but I've talked to a lot of Ohioans that actually prefer it over Ohio's parks... I think the midwest in general is the place to be for coasters, and the competition makes it even better.

I am trying to figure out how SFGAm is hurt by Ohio traffic? This park has no competition in the immediate area, its one of the more favorable Six Flags parks and as much as I hate this part because both times I have gone this year were on Mondays, it is always crowded. Trust me, this park does not worry about what goes on in Ohio.

I think SFO can be as good as SFMM looking at there aresenal but it seems like they service there is horrible! I think SFMW has huge potentail! People all over norcal think its already better with just 4 coasters! It has a ride that will live forever as being one of the best, Medusa unitl they trim in to death and a awesome wood coaster, Roar West. They have world class shows and animal for the people who like it. They used to be a flat rides park so they have a large and great selection. I think atmisphere and some service, and defently coaster aresenal needs to be upgraded. They will though I think

Magic Mountain is to Six Flags what Cedar Point is to Cedar Fair. Others might come close, but they are called the "Flagship Parks" for a reason.

SFO will never be world-class unless they fire all of management and get people who know how to run a park. That won't be enough unless someone works on improving the entire traffic structure in and out of the area.

I think SFDL has the potential! The only thing lacking is the sheer number of coasters... If they put a few years of good improvements in the park, it very well COULD become the next SFMM! The park has plenty of room to expand, a very nice atmosphere, is for the most part VERY CLEAN (!), and has a great location! SFDL is close to Canada, and can draw visitors from Ontario, New York, and Pennsylvania without a major trip on their part. YAY DARIEN LAKE! :)
I forgot to add, they also have an onsite hotel and campground, so even if it is a far drive, you can stay right on-site! SFDL can/will(?) do it!!!!!!!!
IMOP I think SFMM needs a bit of work. Sure they have a lot of great coasters. Overall a nice park. I like SFGAM, SFO better. Sure SFGAM is my home park. But I loved SFO. If SFMM didn't have the Riddler I don't know what I would have thought.

BMCOASTER
I think that if Six Flags New England kept improving over the years and expanded there park a little more they could start to gain popularity. They are only about 2 hours away from New York City and if Great Adventure didnt put in anything new one year and New England Did, Then people will start to be lured to New England to see there new ride and check out the park. A ride that might do this might be a record braking floorless!
Why is it that SFMM is treated to a new coaster every year (seems like) and that most other SF park are discarded (seems like)?
I think the only Six Flags that is close to MM right now is Gradv. SFOT might be close next year, and SFGAM is not far behind. SFOG has potential also.

Goliath: The most intense Hyper in the world.
The only time that MM has ever gotten coasters back to back was Viper and Psyclone. Flashback doesn't count cause it wasn't new when it was put in.

I agree with Wild One. SFA definitely has the potential. With the world's greatest coaster IMO (Superman), and again in my IMO the world's greatest woodie (Roar), and Joker's Jinx as a backup, this park really has the potential. We have a nice mix of coasters and thrill rides:

Hyper, Wood Twister, Wood Out and Back, SLC, Invertigo, and a continuous circuit LIM coaster. Not to mention the Tower of Doom, Krypton Comet, and the Falling Star.

I think Great adventure has the potential to be better than MM. first off they own 1500 more acers that isn't even developed. there is also talks of building a hotel and entertainment complex there too. they have a really nice(even thow it's new) HH. the only real draw back is the park management and operations oh and viper...that coaster sucks!

just my 2 cents
All I can say is I hope that SFMW gets the SFO treatment soon. I love Medusa (obviously) and Roar is one of the best woodies out there. Their flat rides are some of the best, but we need more coasters! SFMW has the management and the atmosphere to be the next gem of the SF chain, but so do a lot of other SF parks, like SFDL, SFNE and SFGAM. There are several good parks in the chain, so it's very hard to estimate which one will become the next gem. Peace. :)

Well I heard that SFA i supposed to get management from from Texas to help "clean up" the park. They just didn't expect the park to grow so fast. That's probably why you guys all don't like SFA.
