If anyone has seen this it is WindJammer. I thought it is hillarious. Anyone else find any other videos like that. *** Edited 12/23/2006 4:46:26 AM UTC by Audioslaved***

This topic reminded me of a Sheikra video I had seen on YouTube. I don't understand much spanish, but enough that this is hilarious!

I think the humor is very apparent in the Wind Jammer video. I mean just look at that thing. It is hard to understand that one day multiple people were like:

"hey lets build this terrible roller coaster that doesn't work remotely"

and then someone else was like, "fine but we have to make it a ride were capacity can be unbearable, something that we can even easily cut capacity in half, I know lets build two but only run one."

"who would be willing to put their name on such an awful ride?"

"Vekoma?"

"Nah they aren't willing to go this bad."

"Six Flags seems to love putting their name on awful things, I was at Magic Mountain last week"

"yea but we don't want to give them business"

"I know... TOGO"

"The ice cream shop?"

"No, they would do a better job on a roller coaster than we are looking for. I'm talking Togo, the awful awful company that builds 'roller coasters' "

And the rest is history. I mean that is how I would assume the conversation went... logically. Really there is no other explanation this has to be how it happened right?

For those that try to defend the ride...I will quote RCDB to prevent that from happening:

"The Windjammer did not operate frequently due to mechanical problems. Knott's spent an additional $2 million USD on repairs and inspections over the roller coaster's short life. Due to these troubles in March of 2000, Knott's filed suit against Togo seeking $17 million USD in damages. The problems listed in the suit included misaligned tracks, defective safety restraints and wrinkles in the main frame of the trains."

There has been bad coasters in the past, but I'm pretty sure that this one takes the cake even with only 3 years of operation. So its easy to see the humor in the video, I think....

I swear more of my vids hit You Tube through other people than through me.

Sigh...

Intamin Hater the conversation probably went more like this.

"Hey we are an independently owned park that doesn't have the budget of a Six Flags, Disney, Paramount, or Cedar Fair. We need a new ride but can't afford anything huge. Hey look Togo has this new looper/wild mouse type racing coaster. It's unique and realitively inexspensive. Let's give that a try"

"Great idea boss but hey if we wait a few years we'll be owned by Cedar Fair and have the big budget."

"What are you, some kinda Psychic or something"

Regarding the Steel Phantom video:

OK, wow...

Steel Phantom was only 4.5 million?

...and...

I can't believe that reporter was allowed to stand about a foot from the track while a train was travelling 80 mph right next to him!!!

...and...

Is that video of Magnum before the trims and reprofile? I thought that pretzel was rough now...goodness it looked even more brutal then!
