Much better :)

I guess I do not see how "Routine Maintnance" is funny. I think she was trying to stress that they DO maintain thier coasters for public safety.

Guess who's back? Back Again? James K's back. Tell a friend.

I don't think that was the "funny" line in there James.
Routine Maintance is all that was talked about by the SFNE spokeswoman.

I get it.

The ride closed for about an hour yesterday afternoon for what a park spokeswoman, Mary Ann Burns, called "routine maintenance."

"That's not unusual for an amusement park ride, especially our coasters," Burns said.

The "humorous" part is that she made a comment stating that it was not unusual for amusement park rides to be shut for an hour during the day...especially their coasters. *** Edited 6/2/2004 3:59:09 PM UTC by redman822***

Pretty funny, a spokesperson is supposed to be carefull with they say to the public. :)
Sounds like a reporter misquoted the park spokesperson. *** Edited 6/2/2004 5:19:14 PM UTC by coasterguts***
I agree CoasterGuts.

Guess who's back? Back Again? James K's back. Tell a friend.

Yes. I think it was a misquote... she probably said something in the range of... "It's not ususal for amusement rides; espically our kinds/Superman roller coasters
Actually, I'd imagine that she said just that, but she wasn't meaning that in the way it was said.

What she probably ment were that all amusment park rides needed maintenance, esp. the coasters. She just said worded it as 'our coasters' instead. Basically she was just saying that their coasters needed especial attention moreso than flats.
