Fun things to do for ride photos

I sometimes wear one of those elastic straps that hold my glasses on. If I take my glasses and turn them catewampas on my face, along with my hat, and get a look of terror on my face (terror not screaming).

In cooler weather, I'd take my jacket, hunch down my head and zip it up so I look headless. It's important to let the sleeves ride out a bit so it looks truely headless and not some sap with his head tucked in.

If I'da thought about it a little longer, I'da spent more time thinking.

On the Wildcat at Frontier City, One time I brought a can of shaving cream and a razor and I slapped the cream on while I was on the lift hill. You should have seen the look on everyone's face when they saw a guy shaving on the on ride photo. Best one I've ever seen... If I do say so myself.

Phreak223: man, dial up sucks so bad

On Kennywoods log jammer i flip my shirt over my head so its just my face sticking out of the neck of my shirt, and i put up the double horns(rock on) and make an evil looking YEAHH! face.

I really think GoliathKills hit the nail on the head. Yes it is fun to do silly things for a ride camara for a few laughs, but sometimes real life is just funnier. I have a Kraken on-ride photo on my desk that I got on my last trip to Seaworld. I raised my arms up and screamed really loud and I look really kind of silly in the pic.

The funnier thing in the picture, however, is the guy behind me. He is an older gentleman and the look on his face is priceless. His eyes are closed, his teeth clenched, his hands in a deathgrip on the harness. He looks like one of those astronauts who go through high G training and they are hitting the wall as far as G's go.

Two seats over from him is a girl that is much younger, I would say in her 20's if that, that has a look like she is trying to take a very large crap on the ride. Her eyes are closed, she is leaning forward, and her whole face, ney her entire body is tensed up. Her boyfriend next to her, on the other hand, is looking down at his chest like he casually dropped something, clearly oblivious to the fact that he is going 50-60 mph into the ride's switchback inversion.

I like to do the kiss at the picture. Me and My girlfriend would go up to a pic and kiss and then the pic would come up on the scean and people were like ow my god! one time they gave us a free pic. (how bout that) I got the very first pic bout on X. I did the eyes closed madusa looking pic. I got my hair blraided for this so it would work(I have long hair) It looked Like I had the sanke hair and a freke look on my face.
Me and my friend Matt had some good ideas that we implemented on Magnum at night when it was a walk-on almost.

For the first one, we got out a Cedar Point map (harder than it looks when you're in the middle of the ride!). We each held the open map in one hand. Matt pointed at the map, while had a startled look on my face with my hand over my mouth(think a look a "traditional" old lady would react to a girl with really short shorts...)

For the second one, we drank our cups of pepsi until they were completely dry, then we folded them down so they could fit into our pockets. When we got throught the second tunnel, we opened them back up to look like they were "full". Matt acted like he was throwing back a big gulp, while I held the cup with the logo facing the camera in one hand, a thumbs up from the other, and a giant grin on my face.

Both drew laughs from the guests and workers in the booth, who even went as far as to acknowledge our creativity.

I'm gonna wear 2 shirts for TTD and for the first camera have the one shirt on and for the second camera take the top shirt off so when I buy my picture I have 2 different shirts on. And I can not wait until I get to see the scared expressions on peoples face and whatever may happen on either camera. Its gonna be a blast to work in TTD Photos.

Actually, one of my favorite photos is on Millie. The poor fellow behind us had large jowles. Now use your imagination...

My favorite one is on S:ROS at SFDL. You need to wear a Superman shirt underneath a shirt with buttons. Then, when you get to the camera, you just rip open the top shirt, and make a face like those in the Superman movies. At the photo booth, everyone starts laughing.

"Hello, this is Moleman in the morning. Good Moleman to you. Today part four of our series of the agonizing pain in which I live every daaaay."

At PKI me and my friend won two blow up alien dolls at the guessing game. We both tore the heads off and slitted the sides so our heads could fit in them. On every coaster that has an on-ride photo we put them on the lift and took em off on the brakes. They made really funny pictures but only if the Outer Limits still had an on-ride!
Saw an amusing on ride photo when I was at Alton Towers on sunday, infact one of the ECC members who I was with thought it was so funny, they actually brought it

Now I didnt see it happen, but on Oblivion a big group of 8 people all sneaked on the ride a big brown paper bag and before they went down the drop, they thought it would be funny to place them on their heads so their faces were not seen for the camera so what can be seen on the on ride photo you get is a long row of people all with Brown Paper Bags on their heads, to say it is hilarious and certaintly quite weird is an understatement. You've really got to see it to believe it. I will write back if that ECC member is willing to scan the photo on the net.

You've gotta wonder though what made them do it, Was it for a dare of some kind, Was it for a bet??Basiclly I dont think we will ever know.

I think the most hilarious photo I've done on a ride is the I'm on a Mobile Phone picture, basiclly I didnt mean too, but I answered my phone half way round a ride and before I knew it, I was going down the drop and it took our picture, It turned out pretty hilarious actually.

You should have been to WOF Saturday night watching the Orient Express onride photos. I couldn't belive I was that Sunburnt. My face was all red in the onride photos, except for where I was wearing my sunglasses durring the day. I don't think that was a very fun thing to have in the onride photo but it was different. I belive the onride photo operator thought my photos were funny because of my red sunburnt face.

Bird Watching is Awesome I spoted this awesome bird of prey

Lets see, all the stupid things I and my friends have done on on ride photos:

1) Bag on head: the classic.

2) Look at a park map and point at something on it.

3) Wore the Disaster Transport 3D glasses on all the coasters (Raptor in particular)(all 4 riders).

4) (Accidental one) Rode the GA Cyclone the other week when the trims weren't hitting. I got so much air that when the on ride took, I was in midair above my friend riding in the other seat. Too bad the photo booth wasnt working that day.

5) Absolutely goofy looks like your petrified or you have something seriously wrong with you. The classic Home Alone look comes to mind.

Ive done so many stupid things, yet many of you have given me new ideas ;)

Nice thread. Some of these had me laughing pretty good. Good imaginations here.

I tend to like the natural expression on my GF's daughter on our first MForce ride. See my profile, she's next to me. And of course that's towards the *end* of the ride.
BTW, I wasn't that calm looking until there towards the end. :)
We did the strangling pose next ride on MF.
And my GF and I did the kiss pose on MF.

I can't buy on ride photos... I am banned from the booths for annoying the hell out of every one.

Krimson n' Kream, Spr 98

Me and my friends have done "YMCA" on Nitro. We have pretended to be asleep. Superman flying poses on S:RoS. Stuck one arm out of the restraints on Medusa. My brothers and I have all pretended to be fighting and killing each other on numerous rides. There is always the 'scared to death look' and the head-in-shirt deal. We've spoken no evil, heard no evil, and seen no evil. Last year there used to bea spot where you could be seen off-ride on Medusa- we had some great fun when we figured out where that spot was. Weve all be pretending to point somewhere and were all looking intently. The list goes on and on...
