...for members of ACE.

So, where this really isn't "new" news, I decided it would have to be a reminder

So, $13 for two people. Yes. Thats correct. Unfortunatly I found this deal out AFTER I bought my ticket

For $6.50 each, you can experience Indiana's ONLY looping steel coaster, (and only 1 of 4 operating Arrow shuttles) the new Safarie Kiddie Coaster, and a Pinfari Zyklon with Head restraints. Plus, there are several flats (including Flyers) and a glass house.

Please visit this little park, with the high cost of insurance, an the recession, this little Fun Spot may not be around forever.

Embroided T-Shirts are $10, food is reasonable, and its just FUN FUN FUN.

Thank you.

Wow that sure is a deal! FS may seem small but there's plenty to do. And nearly everything is running at full throttle, including the rare Arrow launched loop. Had a great time when I went this month, but I'm afraid it was only FUN FUN for me.

Hehehe...so Thursday I get in free to both Fun Spot and Indiana Beach?! You'll only hear me say this once, I love being an ACER :)!

I seriously can't wait for this park. Even though Arrow Shuttles freak me out, I can't wait to try Afterburner...not to mention Flyers (its been waaaay to long) and Bayern Curve!

Either of you two- do they sell coaster patches?

Car-uh, FS had a great one of Afterburner last year. I don't know if they still have them. Make sure ya try both ends. The air is great! Unfortunately the Bayern Kurve was missing something important 2 weeks ago.....cars! Have fun, and I hope NoGoSuMo runs for ya.

That alone is worth $6.50. There's nothing quite as fun as cramming yourself into those little seats and then squashing your shouders down with restraints that serve no purpose. :)

mr. peck and/or Arrow Guy - How are their Flyers?

Anyone know how far it is from Michigan's Adventure? I'm thinking Fun Spot and MA might make an interesting trip one weekend.

Well, Mapquest said it was 3 hours from here to FS, so...I'd say 3 hours! :)

STC - Thanks. For some reason I've grown to be a little leary of Mapguest. I was just checking more or less to see if anyone had actually done the drive.

252 already? Someone's having a good summer. :)

While I do enjoy Fun Spot, I don't think it's worth a 3 hour drive. You can do everything in the park in an hour and a half, and that includes lunch.

Chris, their Flyers are a standard park model, which means major snappage! They have a great rpm ratio and balance well, even though 2 opposing tubs are missing! The problem is that they don't like snappers at FS, so when you go, try and get a good first couple of rides on it before they crack down on ya. They aren't mean about it, but seem scared to let their ride do that. Its a shame too because it can be just as crazy as KI's. Watch the brakes though.....they stop it on a dime and no matter where you are, you're headed for one of two things: the ground, or the structure!

Fun Spot, though not big or highly thrill-packed is still a grand little park. It kinda reminds me of Lakemont with less coasters.

I figure, its a good 5-hour park. (if they stay open that long) (they like to close early on low attendence and rainy days)

I live less then a half an hour away and have never been there, go figure. I go to the go cart track across the road all the time but have never been to Fun Spot. Is that weird or what? You take for granted what you have right next door I guess.

I am just waiting for the new CCI woodie ;) wishful thinking I know.

The Man who owns the park now gives a lot of money to the University I went to. Tri State, he is very nice and it would be great to support him in any way possible.

And it would be about 3 hours from Angola to Muskegon.

You just go straight up I-69 then cut over on I-94 west to 131 North and then west on I-96 to Muskegon. Expressway all the way.

I took my 2 kids to Fun Spot this year. I am 1 1/2 hours away. We camped at Pokagon and spent Sunday at Fun Spot. My kids and I had a fantastic time. Fun Spot has a great collection of kiddie rides and flat rides. I'm considering heading back for another visit before summer is over. My 8 year old daughter was intimidated by the Afterburner at first but eventually rode it 3 times and loved it. It was her first looper.

That park was definitely...uh..interesting :). No matter WHAT you do, they will not let you on the kiddie coaster. We first tried to scam our way on with the whole "we drove 3 hours to do this," thing and the op said "not without kids!" So we took the time and effort to go hunt down kids, and we STILL got denied. We got one of the maintence guys to say we could go, but there was just no way we could get the op to say yes. And...the biggest disappointment of the day was that Afterburner did not open. DOH! So all we got was a bone-jarring experience on Zyclon. Good thing 3 of us got in free, though :).

Yikes, Kara, looks like you had a day at just the "Spot"

We got on the kiddie coaster early with the help of a nice young lad. The Afterburner seemed to pump out good rides all day. Sorry you got the lower end of the deal.

Yes, I inquired about riding the Kiddie Coaster also and I had two children with me. I was denied a ride, but I will try next time. Terribly sorry that the Afterburner was down Kara, that would have disappointed me alot. It ran fantastically the entire day I was there.

I would have replied earlier, but big storms and lots of flooding here in Ft. Wayne have cut power for the past 2 days. I work at Fun Spot, mostly on the weekends, sometimes on weekdays, and would be glad to offer any advice or answer any questions needed or wanted :-)

By the way, Afterburner is rarely down this year (I don't really know too much about others) so that shouldn't be a concern for anyone considering a trip here.

Hey MagnumForce, where do you live? If you're only a half hour away, why not give Fun Spot a shot? By all means, let me know when you're coming, too. I'm always grateful to meet fellow enthusiasts in the parks! The offer stands for anyone, by the way.

I live in right off of 120 well its territorial Road in Michigan about 10 miles from the Indiana Line. About 25 miles east of Fremont. I can't give anything a try until the Doctor says I can, I just had major surgery but I think my first trip will be a little one to Fun Spot. I need to go shopping at the outlets anyway ;)

Fun Spot closes for the season on September First. They are not open on labor day.
I wish I would have known that when I went to Fun Spot and Indiana Beach on Saturday.

Oh well...
