Well, this weekend was supposed to be my CP trip with 15 co-workers. Well, they ALL chickened out (except one couple) when they saw the weather reports earlier this week.
So, I decided I had my heart set on coasters this weekend and damn the weather, I'M GONNA RIDE COASTERS!
Last year I never got a chance to ride Cornball Express, mainly because we were so busy with 10 CP trips, handfull of Holiday World trips, VARIOUS Six Flags trips, PKI, weddings, and Etc.
Plus, (I'm ashamed to admit) I *thought* CE was a family coaster. Not even close.
Walked through the gate at 3 o'clock, asked the guy at the gate, "do you take debit cards"? He said "no", "but go ahead and go in". I said "right on"!
I thought that was a good deal, saving 4 bucks. That was nothing! Went to the ticket stand (they take debit cards) to buy my wife and I a POP wristband. The lady rings us up and says, "16 dollars please". ? I thought it was 16 bucks each, oh well, fine by me.
Headed straight CE. The ride literally gets lost with everything else around it. We grabed a seat near the rear of the train. The first drop is so steep for a woodie, the airtime is great all the way to the bottom of the hill. Climbing the next hill is smooth, good laterals here too. The next drop, airtime once again and a great head chopper at the bottom. From here on out, this ride reminds me of another wooden CCI coaster which resides here in the same state! Yes, it's true! CE has it's older brother right here in Indiana!
You are probably thinking, yeah we know, it's the Hoosier Hurricane. No it's the LEGEND!
Honestly, If I closed my eyes, I would think I was about 250 miles south! The helix pins you to the left side of your seat. The last two bunny hills right before the brakes.....pure Legend.
I can't say enough good things about this coaster.
Rode HH next. Good speed, but not much air.
Took a walk down to the Double Shot (a S&S drop ride) One wonders, why do they call it double shot? It only has one tower. Well, first you blast off like any other S&S tower, but then while desending down, you get BLASTED back up! Wow! Talk about EXTREME AIR!
Rode the Den of lost thieves. Cool little ride! My wife beat me. 250 to 232! Oh well!
Did the Galaxi. Not much to say here...Umm had a little air in *one* spot. Good starter ride for little ones.
The Falling Star was up next. Good flat ride. Kinda makes me dizzy!
My only complaint: how about painting something. Anything. I mean the whole park could use it.
Totals for 3 1/2 hours, yes 3 1/2 hours!
Cornball Express 5
Hoosier Hurricane 1
Double Shot 2
Den of Lost Thieves 1
Falling Star 1
Galaxi 1
It's was a great afternoon trip. Just wished it was warmer!

X-Flight World's Only flying coaster!
Batwing World's only flying coaster!
S:UF World's only flying coaster! Don't you love SF ?
Hey RollerFreak, how did the Lost Mountain look from the outside and what is their 5th coaster called, and how did it run? Isn't it an old Jumbo Jet or something? I'm heading there in June and wanted to know. Thanks.

There's nothing like a woodie...
The other coaster at IB is Tig'rr. It's a Schwarzkopf Jet Star. We didn't ride it this trip. I've ridden it many times in the past. We couldn't tear ourselves away from the Cornball!
