Front Seat or Back Seat; which is better?

My personal favorite is front seat for any type of roller coaster. You get the better sensation of flying.
I tend to head toward the back seat. I love the feeling of being yanked over the hills.
I usually ride the back, because I'm an airtime fanatic.

I ride the back because of airtime and more speed.
It really depends on the coaster.
The back-airtime, speed, and I like to know I'm on the coaster with other people. The jerk over the hill is excellent. I luckily go a second to back seen on MF last year for TTR and had even more fun than the front seat of my favorite coaster, SROS. But if it's a bad woodie, I'll ride toward the middle or front.

Hey RCTfan, have you done the back seat of Hypersonic yet? There's never been "yankage" like that before! I think I'm still recovering!

If the coaster has a large drop, I always like the front seat. I love the feeling when you are heading down the hill slowly, and it feels like you are just hanging there. However if I get a chance I always ride in the back also because you feel everything so much more.
I really enjoy the back seat. I've been on the front seat with a lot of coasters, and IMO I think it sucks. The back seat on any coaster gives more airtime and "Yankage" feeling. Some examples: Raging Bull, Viper, and Raptor. I love that feeling of getting whipped around the corner and heading straight into a loop.

It varies a lot. I tend to go for the back, but not always.

As for "back seat for airtime", you'd be suprised. On some coasters, the last row of the first car is the "ejector seat"...

I love riding in the back on looping coasters. It's so sweet seeing the train in front of you going through a loop. On an inverted coaster, though,I have to sit in the front. I hate being in the back and not being able too see anything at all. That is the main problem with inverteds, I think.

It seems people like my Yankage word! I feel special. Unforunatly I haven't, I will tho. I've done front, which was fun...I'll try Back deffinatly!

EVERYONE IS DOING IT! Its Yankage!

First time on a coaster, I like back seat, second time, front seat, and from that, I make my choice for what I usually like on that rollercoaster, so for each one, it's different. Example: Shockwave, Iron Wolf, and Demon (SFGAm) is front all the way, because I'm not suicidal. But Raging Bull, Whizzer, American Eagle, and Viper, it's the back for me! On Batman, though, it doesn't matter. Back is good, but sometimes I want front. Inverted in the front rocks!

V2, Deja Vu... how can it be better? Add Viper! Oh, wait. It's already there!
Both. On Montezoomas Revenge you have to sit in the back. On Ghostrider, the front or the middle. Viper is definatly the front, unless you like to have a "cracked" neck sitting in the back seat. Batman THE FRONT THE BEST
i enjoy the back more-it is more airtimw, and you never know where ur going.
Back airtime all the way baby except if I have never been on the coaster then the front for the view and thrill of it!!!

I like the front seat the best, because I can see everything from the front view. Although the back does give you great airtime, the front is to me the best especially on really big drop. It's an incredible experience!!

a lifetime at SFMM!!!
On B&M's, I like to sit in the front. Because of the dip, the whole train gets the full afect of the drop. On anything that hangs over the lift, I sit in the back. My favorite part of a roller coaster is the first drop, so it needs to be good for me.

Deja Vu, and V2, what more can you want? SFGAm #1
I usually love the front seat. It really depends on the ride though. IF the ride has OSTR's it's front all the way before there is no aairtime with OSTRs so I would rather get the view. If there are no OSTR's justr a lap bar on a woodie, then it's the back seat all the way for the airtime on the woodies. IF it is a hypercoaster or a giga coaster I prefer the front so I can see the drop. On Hypersonic I wanted front to get the 90 degree drop view, so I went front row. For MF, I went front seat to see the giga drop. depends on the coaster for me....
