Fright Fest at SFMM on a Friday

I'm sure some of you will find this funny, considering I go to MM so much, but I have never been to Fright Fest. I rode Colossus backwards in mid Nov, 03, since it was still running that way even when Fright Fest was over. I would like to do that again. I do not care about the other Halloween stuff that will be going on. I am willing to treat it like a normal off-season weekday and maybe leave around 6:00 if night time crowds are terrible. If any of you have ever been to Fright Fest at MM on a Friday in the past, how crowded was it? What I am really interested in is whether the daytime, say until 5:00 or 6:00, was significantly less crowded than the night, since many people would be at school or work.

My mother (1946-2009) once asked me why I go to Magic Mountain so much. I said I feel the most alive when I'm on a roller coaster.

I do not know if it is busy but is Colossus any good backwards? I did not think much of it riding forwards. Maybe it would garner more riders if it was permanently in reverse?

I'm sheriff of this here rollercoaster.

Yes, I enjoyed riding Colossus backwards very much. It gives a unique experience and makes the ride much more exciting, as opposed to being almost a family coaster by todays standards. I have thought for a while now that they should run it backwards permanently as a draw to get more people to want to ride it. Now that the much, much better Terminator Salvation is there, I am even more convinced that Colossus should run backwards all the time.
