Free tickets to SFA

A sign on Main Street 1776 said tonight that if you make it next weekend (Nov 1-3), they will give you a free ticket for the 2003 season. I guess they're not expecting many folks next weekend. Could be a great time to get in a ton of Superman rides, and there's nothing wrong with that!

Not to mention the birthday party. Unfortunately I won't be able to make it.

actually, to be more specific, the free admission is for April 2003 only

That's smart to bring people to the park in April, when crowds are typically smaller, although it's not so good for us enthusiasts.

Well that's good for boosting attendance just a bit but of course they'll also have the new ride to promote as well,of course I don't expect the "mystery ride" to be operational in april.

I'm wondering why it is that I-Fan believes that this ticket promotion isn't good for enthusiasts? the park usually isn't half as crowded in April as it is in late May- early June.

Hmmm.... Free tickets this weekend for April 2003, new ride in 2003, not operational but definetly promotable, big, tall and fast....

bare with me here, my imagination is kicking in.....

Lots of contsuction activity going on, suddenly testing begins....

Ummm..... Let's see come back on Memorial Day weekend to ride the biggest, tallest and fastest ride SFA has? Could this be a coincidence?

As we already know S:ROS is the tallest ride currently in the park & the "mystery ride" probably won't really aproach that height at all, whatever it is it'll certainly be a good one, that's for sure.

Coasterguts in case you havn't noticed this but the topic that was posted the other day concerning the "mystery ride" has already been deleted( like we didn't see that coming)& I couldn't find it at all when I logged in this morning,so it's probably a safe bet that most people just aren't interested or convinced of the validity of the information that was disclosed in that topic,I'll surely be laughing at those who dismissed it as false just as soon as the official announcement is made & construction begins. :-)

I know that I'll certainly be renewing my pass for 2003,you can count on that and I'll be enjoying myself on the new "mystery ride" whatever it happens to be.

What kind of train operation has SFA been running on the weekends? I was there this past summer on a Wednesday, and nearly EVERY coaster was running single train.

I'm thinking about going down to SFA this Sunday, but would like to know, are they running two trains on most, or are they only running one?

Men are like parking spaces... the good ones are all taken and the rest are handicapped or too far away.

AS of 2 weeks ago:

SROS - 2 trains
Batwing - 2 Trains
Jokers Jinx - trains removed for season
Two Face - 1 train :)
Wild One - 2 trains
Roar - 2 trains
Mind Eraser - Didn't look, but line was short

It's expected to be a bit on the chilly side this coming weekend so I wonder how that will influence attendance at the park,we just might find ourselves with walk on conditions for most of the coasters. :-)

If that happens then I'm gonna make the most of it & certainly enjoy getting in my last rides of the 2002 season & be busy looking forward to the 2003 season, also with the 50% of shopping discounts I might be able to get that Batwing T-shirt I've had my eye on during my last couple of trips,it costs around $20.00 or so & with a 50% off discount I should be able to snag it for about $10.00 or so. :-)

Listen BFSFA, no one has found any parts to anything yet, so, let's stop the rumors, alright? And I must add (again) that I knew about Batwing in October 2000, and no one believed me. I stood right by a manager in line for Two Face who spilled the beans. What proof of anything do you have for next year?

Dude, you're getting an Intamin!

I've got connections with a few others on the board as well as some folks who post on sixflagsnews.com who have been gathering the information during the past few weeks & months.

Of course right now nothing's been announced yet,of course they announce usually in february,so right now there's no real way to discredit the information that has been submitted,of course this information can be incorrect and as most here are saying nothing will happen, right now we don't know yet but all indications are that something major is coming next season and when it's officially announced I'll just sit back & laugh at those people who are sayiing that nothing's gonna happen.

Let's see here:

A free ticket for April 2003

50% All Merchandise

A free concert by After Forever-A Black Sabbath Tribute on Saturday night.

Sounds like a great weekend at Six Flags America, to bad the weather is for cold, wind and rain on Saturday and rain with a possibility of snow showers on Sunday. Hey, that's even better, what better way to close the 2002 season with a ride on S:ROS with ice on the track.

As long as they keep the magnetic brakes warm enough they they don't get ice in the air gap. Boy could that result in a sudden stop!

BWSFA: Don't you ever give up with the unfounded rumours? I have no idea what if anything SFA will get. I've heard rumours, some from sources that are more likely to know than yours. I have thoughts of what I would do if I ran the zoo. But that's all they are, rumours and wishful thinking. We'll find out when there is an announcement, a proveable sighting, or some other undisputable information source. Until then let's not spread wild rumours.

You couldn't pay me to go back there.

52 visits to 4 CF parks in '02 with a season pass, free. Knowing I saved $1603, priceless.

St chick, this wasn't a hate on SFA topic if you hadn't noticed. The park has made major strides this year in operations. And you can take that from someone who's been a season pass holder since 99'. They also added a lot of trees and lighting to the park this summer.

Why not? I live near the park and we visit all the time and it is a great park. My 5 year old daughter loves going there, she rides all the kids rides and they have a good selection of flat rides we can ride together. Plus they have a great colleciton of coasters, all (except possible ME) are very good...much better than most larger theme parks. The only time I regret going is when it gets way too crowded but do our best to avoid the peak times at any park because that's the surest way to have a bad time. I've made that mistake far too many times at HersheyPark, PKI, and others.
