The NASCAR Cafe at the Sahara Hotel & Casino will give you free passes to Speed if you can finish their six-pound burrito called The Bomb.

So, has this been on Food Network's Man vs. Food yet?

Is that something you really want to do right after eating six pounds of grease-laden burrito?

Their going greeen and trying to replace the LSM's with Fart Power

I'm not a NASCAR follower, (God knows...) but isnt there a big race at the Vegas speedway around this time of year? Maybe they got the coaster up in time for the race crowds that will be drawn to the Sahara. And I imagine a few of them will tackle the Bomb as well...

Uh, I thought Speed was closed for good...

Well, I guess if the coaster goes down because the launch isn't working, then the person who ate the "bomb" could provide their own form of "launching" technique...

Uhm. Does anyone know how much a Chipotle burrito weighs? I'm wondering how much bigger the bomb actually is.

A Chipotle burrito with everything has got to be at least pound and a half. I doubt I could handle four of them.

Mmmmm barbacoa

This is bit odd, and not just that they're encouraging someone to go on a looping coaster after eating 6 lbs of burrito goodness. If you go to Sahara website they feature a Speed all day ride pass for $22. But if you go to the Speed fact page it says it's "closed for the season".

They are giving away free tickets... that doesn't mean the ride has to be open. Spend money on the food and they give you tickets you can't redeem... sounds like a good business deal for them.

a SIX POUND Burrito? Damn, I though the 72 oz (4.5 lb) steak at the Big Texan in Amarillo was a gut buster, and I only managed to get though about 2/3 of the thing. It wasn't bad for a northern boy. I beat my co-driver, however.

I found another article on it.

It sounds to me like if you can eat the whole gut bomv, two UNLIMITED passes. It does NOT say how "unlimted" they are.

The article you linked to is the exact same AP wire article. It has nothing new.
