Free concerts at GAdv.

I'm thinking about dropping by on GAdv. for some of the free concerts this summer (I won't go into detail for fear of being laughed at) but I've never done it before. Do I need to get tickets somewhere around the park or do I just show up at show time and find a seat? How early should I show up to get a decent seat?

Hobbes: "What's the point of attaching a number to everything you do?"
Calvin: "If your numbers go up, it means you're having more fun."

Show up and find a seat. The shows are in the North Star Arena back by Medusa. Free for anyone who wants to go who has paid park admission of course. Have fun!

Thanks,
DMC

Just be sure to check the sixflags site because there are a few shows that require tickets. I'm just not sure which shows you might be interested in ;)

Back Street Boys concert eh? ;)
The only shows this season that I think require a ticket are the concerts by LeAnn Rimes and Kool and the Gang. All others if my memory serves me right are admission is free with paid park admisson (season pass works well).

Go ahead and laugh but I am going tonight hopefully for the concert. Something about possible hail in the forecast that worries me. So anyone who's going to be at Gadv look for someone in a Hard Rock Cafe Honolulu shirt wandering around solo taking pics and power riding medusa during the concert. No I don't need to see the concert I just want to hear it.

Don't laugh but I may be at the park doing the power ride medusa thing for some of the same concerts later in the year. *** Edited 7/1/2005 3:30:17 PM UTC by dragonoffrost***

The one I went to was free. The show started late, I think they said Bowling For Soup was supposed to be on at like 6 and they didn't start until 6:30. But, it was absolutely pouring through the whole show, even had a couple of cracks of thunder and they just kept playing! One of the best shows I've ever been to, especially since it wasn't planned ahead, just plain old dumb luck I caught 'em there!

Just watch where the line forms. I was originally told it was at the "front gate", but it turns out they let us in through the back, near Medusa. I waited all the way from the giant teepee, and still there weren't too many people on the floor.

Seat? Who needs seats ... wuss ;)
