It's not exactly a silent protest, but former employees of Indiana Beach said they are taking a stand for those that still work and play at the park. Darrell Price said he resigned from his job at Indiana Beach on Friday. He said he and other workers are concerned about safety at the amusement park.

This park has some real potential, but clearly not under the current ownership/management. Sounds like they need some real change and they need it fast. Even though last year was the first and only time I've gone, it was plainly clear that the park was being run by people who just didn't care.
And then one day you find ten years have got behind you
No one told you when to run, you missed the starting gun
A little update, just read on the protest group on facebook that the owner of Morgan's is flying to Indiana to meet with Mr. Price.
If you were fortunate enough to have visited IB when the Spackmans owned the park, then you know that this whole "thing" isn't entirely false complaints from disgruntled employees. The atmosphere was completly different on my last visits since the change in ownership...something was missing, but it's hard to positively pinpoint.
Oh, wait, now I know what it was....CHARM! ;)

Amen rollergator, I could have not said it better myself. On my visits this year I didn't see any employees smile unless they were talking to each other. The park has lost personality and charm. I glad the Fascination lady has stayed on. Plenty of good personality in there..lol. She's a riot.
Like everyone else is saying I really hope that IB doesn't just shut down. In the hands of the right owner. this place could be magical once again. My wife took her sister there last weekend and my wife was telling me that there are so many lights not working, ie broken, or just not working. Also cobwebs everyplace. She said they ate in the Skyroom by the front windows and the cobwebs on the windows were thick. That's a really disgusting thing to have to look at when you are eating IMO. I have noticed that the Wheel's light show is in extreme disrepair in years gone by until now. It's just really sad to see my baby IB in such shambles. Not everything is bad though. The Pronto Pup stand under the Roof Garden is top notch service.

If Helen or Fascination left IB, I would never go back. I would go now and spend five dollars to get in and then spend 20-30 just in Fascination and leave. Fascination is the only reason I have to return.
Really? I don't see why people find Facination so facinating. It's fun once in a while. But, certainly not a primary reason to visit a park. imho

Wow. I just read that article. The story starts to unfold. Morgan sounds like a seedy corporation.

Fascination is fun. Flipper's was *fascinating*.

I love this quote:
"The protests by former Beach employees -- who contend that not only rides were safe but employees suffered poor treatment..." [bold emphasis mine]

Whatever the situations and accusations, the place is going down the tubes in terms of ... fun had during a visit. The quality of the service is dropping, and the prices are rising.
Indiana Beach was never the type of place you had to worry about having a GREAT time at. Now, it's very hit and miss.
