Former CFO and accountant of Silverwood convicted of embezzlement

Silverwood Theme Park’s former top financial official has been sentenced to three years in prison for stealing hundreds of thousands of dollars from the amusement park over a 10-year period. Former Chief Financial Officer Christopher A. Wyatt also was ordered during his sentencing Tuesday to pay more than $160,000 in restitution.

It's really not that hard to do. But with the right controls and auditing, you're usually caught. There's a reason my wife's job requires them to take a week-long PTO each year.

Avoiding detection over the long run, is.
I’ve seen it happen in every job I’ve ever had, starting with food service at Cedar Point.

It’s like taking a penny from the tray at 7-11, only it’s really a fraction of that penny, from a much bigger tray, a couple a million times.
