The engineering team from Custom Coasters International has announced the formation of a new company, The Gravity Group, LLC. CCI filed for Chapter 7 bankruptcy on July 17, and its former owner, Denise Dinn, was hired by S&S Power.
The new company consists of engineers Lawrence Bill, Michael Graham, Korey Kiepert and Chad Miller. According to their press release, the members of the group designed some of the world's best wood coasters.

It looks as though CCI has been resurrected and we'll be seeing more of their quality rides get built.=)
With this news it seems as if SF Seattle will get their woodie and the New Mexico rattler will also be completed as well, this will also be a great test for the engineering staff of this up and coming company to see if they've retained the quality that made CCI such a respected company.
It'll be interesting to call this company TGG for short.
I count five GCI coasters with a sixth one being built in MO. Also I think Boodley has been doing a lot of retracking work.

In the other topic where Paula released the news, there was some talk about a Ravine Flyer II at Waldemeer's park. That would be TGG first woodie.
I wonder if they will take over Bell's woodie as well and finish New Mexico Rattler if it's not completed yet.
Im so glad this has been officially released. Go back and read some of the CCI closing threads and see If I did not say there would be at least two companies born from the break up.

Why do we fear Mack trucks, but not Mack Wild Mouse coasters?
darienlakefan,
Mega Zeph isn't in a swamp.
Coulda fooled me...I thought the proposed SLC was going to cost twice as much to install than in most areas because of the same swampy land conditions.
Stitch: I think the abbreviation you're gonna see for Gravity Group is G2.

Jazzland isn't in a swamp, but soil conditions almost every where in New Orleans are such that foundation costs are high since almost all of the land is old swamp bottom and unconsolidated sediment. My house there sat on 98 pilings!
