For those of u who work at parks. Hows the pay?

I was wondering how much do you guys get paid for working at parks during the summer if you don't mind me asking and during the off season.  Like when you get your pay checks is it a couple hundred or more and do u get paid every week or 2 weeks.

I work at Hersheypark.  Here's how they do it...

Base Salary for normal employee (Rides Department): $6.25/hr + $.40 for every year after the first.  (i.e. a second year employee makes $6.65/hr)

If you get promoted to red tag (ride lead/foreman/manager, etc..) then you get a pretty big increase in pay.  The salary is somewhere along the lines of $8.75/hr.

They pay us every 2 weeks.

My friend who is going to be working at IOA next summer, said that they pay $8.10/hr for first year employees! That's a lot of cash money, bling bling!!

It also depends upon the local  labor situation. In some areas the supply of suitable help is low. In these cases the pay can be considerably higher than the minimum wage.
Many parks also offer substantial bonuses for working the entire season.
I work at Valleyfair for nine years now. I work in the security department heres an idea on what the pay is: $8.20 to $9.20 an hour for emts/dispatchers or first responders. Example if you make $9.20 an hour you get an extra $1.00 an hour for a bonus check which are handed out at the end of September which is well worth it I think you do get a lot of hours in security. The pay is pretty decent in areas but at times I do think its low because you get free admission is one of the detaild things they give you.
