For real?

I think its tricks actually. (and its rabbit) I dont remember the "rabbit" part being said like that.

Isnt it funny how that has to do w/the topic. :-)

Clear for launch............. ahhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh!!!!!

Ok, I'm headed to the Cartoon Network to find out FOR SURE.

Shame on you for making me watch toons.

I worked there the same season and they NEVER turned Mantisis trains around-I not even sure it could be done. They did, however, give us dark coaster rides on Rapter and Mean Streak and if I remember correctly, trimless on MS as well.

The maintainance men themselves told me that MF can get to 100+ on a hot summer evening but They could've been lieing or something. 100mph is reasonable for me to believe but 120 is rediculously far fetched...

CP was really great about giving employees something to do. I got to see Matrix on the lazer screen, ride coasters and other rides after hours (some in the dark), and free food!

Why would you be watching cartoons? It's a commercial.

And I think it's properly, "Silly rabbit, Trix are for kids."

He needed an excuse to watch cartoon network. Leave him alone. ;)

From what I under3tand "Turning a train backwards" doesn't usually involve turning the entire rolling stock backwards (which would make trouble with chain dogs ARB's, etc) but just turning the seats backwards on the forward running chasiseseses (sp?). I'm not seeing how a B&M could do that, although stranger things have happened.

The real question should be, "Is this topic for real?"

Even 100 mph on MF violates the laws of physics unless the lift is operating at over 32 mph. And that is neglecting friction. If I recall correctly the top speed on the lift is around 15 mph.
*sniff* I'm hurt that you don't think I'm for real, ApolloAndy. I assure you that this was an actual conversation I had ... haven't heard back from the fellow yet since I challenged his assertations! Don't expect to ..... ;)
Why is this topic not closed yet ? What more is there to say really ?

Mantis has never been run backwards and MF never went 120 mph.

Hasn't it though? When it valleyed, it ran backwards for a few minutes, did it not? ;)

And MF went 120 when they put its train on Dragster. Duh. :)

Top Thrill Dragster -- The most intense, unbelievable, and spectacular fifteen seconds on any coaster, anywhere, ever.

I can attest to the fact that after closing time, employees ran Acrophobia in reverse--you "freefalled" to the top! What a rush!

So it wouldn't surprise me that MForce is capable of 120 and they run Mantis backwards.

Is that a Q-bot in your pocket or are you just happy to see me?
