For Anybody whos been to PKI this year...

What were the crowds like? I read most of them but they weren't very clear. I am planning to go this weekend and am deciding whether to go on Friday or Saturday. Thanks.

OK, Friday night (pass preview night) was 20,500+. That is what the anounced attendance was but we think it was higher than that.
Saturday was 13,400 total for the day but no more than 6,500 in the park at one time.
Sunday was slightly less than Saturday with only about 5,000 in the park at one time.

This Friday is Bring a Friend free day and all schools are out around the area, but being so early in the year I'm not sure how packed it will be. Saturday may be a little busier than last week. My best guess would be Friday is better just because not everyone will have off and be able to take advantage of the bring a friend free offer like they could last year (which were on Saturdays)

Could someone explain this "Bring a Friend Free Day" a little more in depth? Is it basically one person gets in free, or what?

Its offered to only Gold Season pass holders, where they can bring in someone for free on the specified days.

In the past I have found Sundays in April to be the least crowded. This past weekend was not too bad. Saturday was slightly more crowded than Sunday. I was not there Friday night but I heard it was packed.

Remember, this weekend is Easter Weekend, so you have a 50/50 chance for light/heavy crowds. Next weekend, the 26th and 27th, is Girl Scouts weekend, so plan accordingly.

I would think that either most people will be travelling this weekend, or just think not to come because it is Good Friday. Then again, my family thinks it would be ok to go(we are active Christians). Jeez, who knows. Just going to go and find out.

Sat for Opening Day, there were fairly light. The longest wait was for Son Of Beast, mainly because it only ran one train.

You have a point, but I didn't even know the park would be open AT ALL in April. I just happened to be looking in the TR's and saw somebody who had went. I wonder why all the other Ohio parks don't open until May 4th. OH well, maybe this early in the season, the crowds will be light.

Because they are 200 miles north and off Lake Erie where weather is alot more harsh.
