For ACE members, I decided to become an ACE member

Thanks, Mamoosh :)

Thanks, rollergator :)

Hey Darren,  sounds like you had a rough experience with a coaster chica. Left a lasting impact, well you can always use CB as a outlet for you emotions. BTW, it seems this April is a to put it bluntly a ... real bit*h and a half. Don't let that sour memory tarnish your future coaster ventures. I think that your horrible experiences with ACE memebers are rarities. Most of the people are extremely friendly even to a 17 year old like me. I am the younger generation of ACE. I have always been treated with respect whenever I have met a member of ACE.  I have to admit though, some of the members are quite weird but there has always been mutual respect and some good times.

Derek - the webmaster of ExtremeParamountParks (or something like that, I might be a little off) is a memeber, and hearing-imparied, and a great guy...he just hasn't aged much yet!

Will, also known as The Jet Coaster, is indeed hearing impaired and one of the greatest and most intelligent guys you'll ever meet... sadly, he isn't a member of ACE though. I'm sure you'll be treated just as good as anyone else Derek, so I wouldn't let that change your mind or make you wonder whether to join or not. I'm not a member now, but I'm sure I will be someday. Good luck! :)

Hey rollergator, Koaster King, thanks for your comments =).

I'm indeed not a member. However, I plan to join CoasterBuzz Club and ACE sometime soon. I used to be a member of ECC, as rollergator might have confused. I need to renew my membership.. I'm missing the First Drop!

By all means, yes, ACE, or any coaster club, OR heck, most CLUBS are very diverse.

I'm proud to be hearing-imparied. And if you guys even bother to make such a big deal about it, I'll simply ignore it.

Meanwhile, I'm off to explore the 'net more and program on my websites more. C'ya!

Derek - I'd just join both ACE and CBC. Sure,  while some of the "benifits" are duplicated,  I personally like the ACE mags on my coffee table when I have friends over. The pic of  Titan on the cover of Roller Coaster! was striking. Someone's sure to pick it up and start a "good" conversation!

And if for no other reason then to support this site, $20 is a very small price to pay for the quality time we all spend on the best coaster site -  by far - on the net.

Without the chaindog, you'd never get up the lifthill...

Rollergator, Darren, and Dennis,

Many thanks! I really do appreciate nice words like that. I don't know about the president job though. =:^)

Jeff,

I can easily see how many people won't get much out of ACE with the Internet in our lives now. The main reason I joined ACE back in 1992 was for the world-class publications. I still enjoy them greatly.

I can also clearly see why you started up your own club. It's a good idea to keep up such a great site. I still am not a member yet because I don't mind the whole add pop-up thing, but who knows? Maybe soon?

I was a member of ECC for one year. First Drop was fabulous, and my primary reason for joining. I didn't renew I guess because I just lost interest.

I'm glad that people see that the CB Club exists first and foremost to keep things alive here. If the club didn't exist, the money would run out next month, especially seeing as how I don't have a job.
