Footers Next to Shivering Timbers???

Went to MA today 8/9/02 and sae fotters next to ST and sone bull dosers next to Ripcord/Adventure falls area.

Anyone in the "KNOW" about this?????

I heard it was going to be a hyper but I'm not in the know so don't get excited.

We have had previous disscussions about the bulldozers and such over by Adventure Falls. But nothing about any footers by ST. Were they over towards Thunderbolt or towards the train?

The footers were in between ST and the parking lot about midway through the course of ST track.

I'm sure they would have to start or anounce soon if it was a hyper. That'll be another smaller park to get a hyper (airtime) before PKI.

Hmm Thats a pretty odd location for anything.

Thunderbolt and Falling Star are rumored to be gone next year but that is a long way from either of them.

Not to long ago ST Chick said they were supose to anounce at the end of July. That never happened, so I would expect teh announcment can't be to far down the road!

Hey, I got it! They're turning ST into a racer! ;)

Perhaps it's for a turn around on a large coaster or mabey it's part of a hyper-twister layout.

Actually, what kind of footers? Are they large and retangular/square or round and evenly divided?

Oh wait, the only thing that would make timbers better is a racing version and get rid of the green train for a new one.

Just rode Timbers today.
The footers in question appear to be for new parking lot toll booths. Real toll booths, not just a slab to park a folding chair and umbrella on.

That's good to know will be geting rid of our "Umbrella Booths." But did he mean next to Timbers and not over in the lot. The "booths" are a decent amout of feet away from Timbers.

I was there yesterday and I have to agree, it looks like booths for the parking lot attendant. With all the room tha MiA has, why in the world would they want to squeeze a hyper in between ST and the parking lot. That's just silly. Why do so many people think that anything made of cement at an amusement park is a footer for some new hyper. People, please take your Rytalin.

Amen Pointman!!! I was there yesterday and this is for toll booths. They are between the current "slabs" and ST. It looks like the whole area is going to re-designed. Btw, the 3(for now) new booths are behind the new first-aid building by the carousel.

Oh, I see. They are re-routing the south entrance. I haven't been since early July, so I was just enquiring. I though he meant closer to Timbers that what you have informed me with. There is no rule saying a turn can't pass over timbers, but the again why would they. There is plenty of room else where in the park for any attraction.

New parking booths makes perfect sense. I was also hoping for some lighting so the park can stay open a bit later.

I REALLY wanted to make a detour north on our way back from SFGAm to ride Timbers, but the hubby had enough coaster riding for a while.
