Food Places at amusement parks

I was wondering how places like Subway and some pizza places get into amusement parks. My uncle owns a chain of small pizza places and deli's and I was wondering how or if it possible for someone like that to rent a building for an eatery at a amusement park? Just wondering.

Of course you will need a proven track record, but you will pay 30-35% of the gross as rent, in addition to service fees for uniforms, warehousing, employee services, etc.

If your uncle has a regional following, and is on good terms with the community that the park markets too

What parks out there rent space to local restaurant owners? I am curious because that would be a better option than having Subway and Taco Bell.

Arena football has arrived in the Windy City. Go "Chicago Rush"

It has its pros and cons. A low volume park can benefit from a family local operation. Guests expect personal service at a smaller park.

On the other side of the street, a fast food chain brings 'branded products', which has the name recognition. They really help move the lines when operated properly. Well, they should. High volume parks need fast foods to keep the lines moving, and still, to my suprise, a high percentage of guests do not want to sit down and relax.

Over at knotts, the CF OWNED AND OPERATED Raddison hotel used to have Cucina! Cucina!, an Italian Chain, but with one other resturant in all of southern california. The rest were in northern california or oregon/washington. Cucina! Cucina! is a much much much smaller chain than say CP's Johhny rockets and TGI fridays. However, recenly they opened up a patriotic resturant, Amber Waves, which replaced Cucina Cucina. And downtown disney at Disneyland has one resturant, an Italian place called like "napoli" or something, and it recenly went under new ownership to a "napoli anaheim" company. The other resturants at the resort are all chains, except for the very pricy napa rose resturant in the grand california. Rated VERRRRRY fine by zagat, like the top of orange county. i don't know who owns it.

Since I work for a company that works inside of a Sixflags park, I might be able to help. First off, I belive rent is a little higher. We pay between 40 and 50% off gross. Also like you said its very hard to get your foot in the door if you have no record or a bad.

At Elitch's, one of the barbecue vendors that set up shop during the fall activities became a regular vendor at the park a couple years ago.
