FOF construction pics

I went to PKI the other day and a few more lights than normal were on in the main ride area. It looks really cool. I know joker jinx is the same thing outside and its just easier to look at that but FOF looks better inside. I was just wonderin if anyone has any FOF construction pics. If so please provide a link.. While your at it if anyone has any contruction pics from coasters built more than like 4 years ago if you have a link please post it. Thanks
I dont have any construction pics but Im just wondering since Im going to PKI in June... this will be my first time on FOF, do they normally have the lights on? I hope not when I go because I would want to experience it in the dark...
It just depends. Ive ridden it three times this year. First time there was a large amount of lights on and it was cool to me to see the track but for you riding it for the first time it would suck. The second time I rode it this year they had lights on throughout the whole launch but they were off in the main ride area. The third time this year they had it normal with all the lights out. I think by June they will turn them all off. Sometimes at the beginning of the season they are on but they normaly get around to turning them off
When I rode it this year they had EVERY light on. It was really cool to see the track but I think the most excitement is when the lights are off.

The former Newbie to coasters. Ridden 100 coasters. Not so new anymore :)

I've ridden it 20 times at all different times of day, year, etc. The lights were only on once.

Its neat now with the lights on because if you put your hands up, You will swear they are comming off at some point.

Increadible hand choppers now that you can ride hands up :)

Chuck, who likes it either way, FOF that is!

Americana (Now called The great americana amusement park at Lesourdsville Lake) is opening in 2002. Indivdual visits are very improtant to the parks survival.

Strange thing, when I went to PKI in 2000 (1 month after SOB opened), we never even saw FOF and never knew it was there! Now I can't wait to go back to ride it, and an improved Beast and Vortex.
I doubt there are too many contsrutction pics of Flight of Fear at PKI showing the main ride area, for the building was built first then the ride was put inside of it. (PKD is the opposite)
FoF, PKD built the ride first. I never knew this. Why did they do it this way and be different from PKI?
PKD had the ride pieces first. At PKI they didn't just stand around while they waited for the track sections to arrive...they went ahead and built the building. That's why there are three cranes built into the building at PKI (actually hoists mounted on I-beams...).

The Flight of Fear rides are more interesting with the lights on than the outdoor versions partly because of the building, but also because there is a lot more structure in there because of the brake run and the three evacuation platforms and associated stairways, all of which are OSHA-compliant stairs that 'normal people' can use if necessary, not just maintenance ladders and catwalks.

After two years of operation, they had evacuated from the mid-course brake once, but never from the two potential valley points which are equipped with platforms.

Are there any good pics of the FOF structure w/ lights on?

I was irritated as hell that on my ride at the PKD right, they had the work lights on the first few cycles. I was on the third train out, and woudln't you know it, just before launch, they shut them off. Bastards!

Jeff, that sounds like my first FOF ride this year. The work lights were on until we came out of the third inversion. I actually hollered, "I've been waiting six years to do this!!!" and at that moment, the work lights went out. Irritated the hell out of me. :)

Don't you two know? Those lights are irritation-activated! ;)
