flying coaster restraints

I went on batwing and i noticed thaat what held you in was a little buckle instead of the air locked restraints. What if somebody unbuckled it during the ride?
They would be dumb!
I believe there is a locking mechanism in the buckle that keeps it from being unlatched during the ride. I went on X-Flight yesterday and tried to unbuckle it once I was back in the station and it wouldn't budge until the restraints that hold your legs in unlocked. But, I am not sure.

I believe that there is some kind of mechanism that makes it so you cannot undo the buckle while on the flying coasters. I remember trying to unbuckle the restraint on Stealth while being lifted up in the station to the upright position and not being able to do it. I only tried it once, but I might have not tried to unbuckle the restraint hard enough.
The buckle doesn't unlatch until you are sitting upright. Also, the harnesses do lock. Sure, the move around a little, but that's so you can breath. Next time you go on, buckle the restraints, and push up on the harness...they will move. Then, when the ride ops come by and push down on the shoulder harnesses, push up again...they will be locked.

even when you get back in the station that buckle is almost impossible to open.the way the system works is that the upper straps are loose but when the op's lock the lap-bar it presses into the bottom of the straps stapling you to the train.
