Flyers?

What are Flyers. I hear everyone talking about snapping them and everything. Could someone get a good picture of them and explain to me what they are and how to snap. I'm going to PKD soon and I heard they had them. COuld someone please help.

Flyers are like Zamperla Kite Flyers I think? Not sure...

I thought you meant like Vekoma flyers.:-D

But how do you snap and what does it do. Someone polease tell me exactly what you sit in and what exactly snapping is.

Snapping is getting the tubs to pretty much fall out of the sky. That is they get ahead of the cables holding them to the center post and when they fall you get a hearty "Kachunck"

This takes a lot of time and practice but can be easiest described as when you reach both the highest or lowest point in your rotation. You turn the sail the oppisite direction you are going.

The best I have ever saw at this is John Peck. Holy Cow he gets those things rocking.

You can't really explain how to "snap" the cables it's like trying to tell someone how to ride a bike. You just need to try to do eventually you get the hang of it.

I love the Flyer at Knoebels. You can scare yourself on them. Still my favorite flat ride in the park after about 20 years of going on them! Boy am I getting old.
