Florida Trip

I'll be heading down to Florida March 21st-March 31st. I'll be able to dedicate 2 days to coasters, and as of now, I have either IOA or SW for Day 1. I haven't been to either of these parks, so I'd really appreciate opinions. For Day 2 I'll either hit one of the afore-mentioned Orlando parks or BGT. (I have been to BGT) I'm also wondering how out of the way Boomers is. (I'm staying in Sarasota) Is the Dania Beach Hurricane any good? Thanks.

Boomers is right near Ft. Lauderdale, which is about a 3 1/2 hour drive south from the Orlando area. I was in Lauderdale over Christmas and drove up to IOA for a day, and I can tell you , it's a bit of a drive. Sarasota is a bit farther south than Orlando, but you're still looking at a few hours or so travel to Ft. Lauderdale. I will tell you though, the Dania Beach Hurricane is a great coaster if you do end up making the trip!
Hey, Im going over there too! From March 23rd until the 31st...

I'll be in Orlando that week too. =)  We should hook up.  Definitely IOA and BGT.  4/5 of the best B&M's out there + Gwazi, Amazing Spiderman etc. etc. etc.

Sea World "only" offers Kraken and Atlantis, MGM "only" offers RnR, and USF doesn't have any major coasters to speak of.

If you don't have it, get the Screamin' Serpent.

...the way DBH has been running my last few trips down there, and its location vitrually ON I-95, there's gonna be a lot of new enthusiasts in south Florida...Hulk's back to normal, and a really good ride, but I think Fire Dragon may be the best steel coaster experience in the state right now!  Have to hit BGT soon and give their rides a more recent review - good think work takes me all over FL...

Shame of it is, I know I'm gonna "dock" Gwazi for reasons WAY beyond my control, or GCI's, or the ops...

Florida needs an Intamin and/or CCI soon...PLEASE!

Thnks all. Would anyone know height restrictions for Kraken, Incredible Hulk, and Dueling Dragons. I have a little brother who's just past 51 inches.

They are all 54". You'll need shoes with REALLY big heels or he'll just have to wait until next time.
