Florida Theme Park Suggestions

I am going Florida for Christmas and will be there for a week and was wondering which theme parks I should visit.  I am near certain that I will visit Busch Gardens and Islands of Adventure.  What about the other ones though?  Which other park, or parks, in your opinion would be the best to visit?

Coaster Fan? Then I highly suggest Sea World Florida for a shot at Kraken. Still one of my personal favorites.

Check out the Disney parks if you've never been there. They're not exactly excitement heaven, but come on, it's Disney World.

Maybe make time one evening to check out Old Town. They have a 300 foot tall skycoaster.

Coaster Fan: things are very slow at the parks down here, the lines are short so you will not have to waite in long lines. Why not try out Universal islands of adventure.Have fun.
Yeah, definately go to IOA and BGT, I would pass on Universal and Disney.  I plan on going to Sea World when I go down this winter because Kraken looks awsome, so that's my opinion.

I am going in late June and plan on hitting IOA,SW, and part of WDW. I am a Disney freak and think you guys would like MGM.

Not MLK's words but mine..I have a Dream! I have a DREAM! I HAVE A DREAM!I have a dream! That SFMM fans will be able to walk hand in hand with CP'sAND no ONE cares what a coaster is and what a coaster isn't!

You should definitely go to IoA and BGT. You should probably go to SW. Maybe if you have time you could fit in MGM. Rockin Roller Coaster and ToT look cool.

Batman rides: 61

I was just in Florida a few weeks ago in September and let me tell you, I wasn't too impressed with BGT.  Montu and Kumba were both heavily braked which created some serious dead time on both coasters after the brake runs.  Gwazi was down due to maintenance.  The park itself has great animal attractions, but there's not much in between coasters otherwise, and the park is huge.  It was the letdown of my trip.  I would suggest going there if you've never been, but if you have, skip it.  Personally, I'm doing IOA, Seaworld and Disney/MGM when I return to Florida in January so that might give you an idea.  Kraken was awesome, but of course IOA is the gem of Florida, if not the entire theme park industry.  Loved it there, it's my new favorite park!  :)  Hulk is incredible, no pun intended.  ;)  Dueling Dragons were awesome as well.  I've heard that RnR is also a great ride, so don't miss that one.  Have fun!  :)

Anyone driving to FL on I-75 should stop in for a visit to Wild Adventures in Valdosta, Ga.  Great park, friendly staff, no lines, wild animals galore and a CCI Cheetah! stalking the Pridelands!!!  Not sure if you're flying or not...

Go to BGT and IOA, and i would go to SW also because they have some really cool animal attractions, a awsome water ride(Journey to Atlantis), oh yeah and a monster named Kraken.  Universal I think would be better then MGM, but thats because I love the Back to the Future ride and the Men In Black ride.
-----------------
The Men in Black ride is awesome, but once you've done it a few times, there isn't a need to go back.  Unless you are obsessed with beating your prior score, then don't bother.  USO is a great park, but if you want coasters, do MGM instead.  RnR and ToT are supposed to be an awesome combo in the thrill ride department.  Like I said, do IOA, SWO and MGM, and if you've never been to BGT, do that as well.  You can get a five park flex ticket through Universal or a travel agent I think for pretty cheap.  Especially if you get it with a package deal.  :)

I'm going to Florida in about a week.  I would suggest Disney World, BGT, and Islands of Adventure.  Universal isn't that great.
Cool, thanks for all the suggestions guys.
Yeah, I've never been to Florida before.  I'm hoping to go to Busch Gardens, Islands of Adventure, Disney MGM Studios, and hopefully Sea World as well.  I'm flying there and will be there for a week between the 24th and 31st of December.  I'm hoping to hit all four of those parks, but might just be able to hit the first three.  Anyway, what kind of crowds will there be during that week?  They were insane in California last year during the same week, so I was just curious if it was the same in Florida.  Also, what rides are good to hit first at those parks?

Thanks for any input.

The coasters of course!  ;)  Hulk is the best coaster in Orlando imo, so hit that at IOA first, then make your way around through Toon Lagoon and Jurassic Park into Lost Continent and Dueling Dragons, hitting the rides on the way.  As for Seaworld, head right back to JtoA and Kraken.  And at BGT, Gwazi is the first coaster you come across, so do those first, and then hit Montu.  Hop the train and go back to Kumba.  You can hit Scorpion and Python back that way also.  :)

Thanks Coasterman, I appreciate all the suggestions.  I am so hyped up to go to those parks.  I can hardly wait.....
If u want hit a disney park u definetly should hit mgm before the others... the only coaster there is RocknRollercoaster, but who cares, i think thats the best disney park, and the other rides r sweet too. but u should definetly go to IOA, in my opinion its the best theme park out there

Anthony P.- Top 5 coasters (in no particular order)
1. Thunderbolt(knywd) 2.Thunderhawk(dorney) 3. Millenium Force(CP) 4. Phantom's Revenge(knywd) 5. Hurler(Carowinds)
i also want to add that kraken was a sweet coaster. i was lucky because in my hotel window i could see half the layout of it and that and hulk r my favorite B&M coasters. the only problem with SW is that kraken and Atlantis are the only really good rides there so if ur gonna go, have something else planned for the day cause chances r u will only b at SW for a few hours considering the lines will be really short.(u shouldnt have a problem planning anything, that area around SW is packed with stuff to do) and to answer your question about lines... if ur going over december usually thats the craziest time to go, but with everything going on in the world today it probably wont b half as bad... i think people want to be with their family over the holidays now.(im not one of those ppl) i would risk a lot to go to orlando over christmas.

I don't think the crowds will be as big this year with all that is going on.  I could be wrong though.  Yeah, you guys should definitely hit Islands of Adventure and Busch Gardens.  Also, hit MGM for RocknRollerCoaster and Tower of Terror and Sea World for Journey to Atlantis and Kraken.  All four of those parks kick some major @#$!

Yep, Coasterman has a pretty good stratagy.  Here is your best bet for those parks IMO:

BGT = Gwazi, Montu, Kumba, Scorpion, Python, Kumba again, and Montu again.

MGM = RocknRollerCoaster, TOT, then rest of park.

SWO = Kraken, J to A, and some shows.

IOA = Hulk, and then follow the loop around the park hitting the attractions as they come.

-------------------

Kumba and Montu kick ***. They were the most impressive coasters I have been on. Im sure Kraken would be the same! Visit BGT for sure!!!! (i was also impressed with Scorpion)
