Florida Senate pushes bill to combat sale of partially used theme park tickets

With lobbyists for Walt Disney World, Universal Orlando and SeaWorld Orlando watching, a Senate committee approved a bill Monday that will dramatically increase penalties on people who fraudulently re-sell theme-park passes. Under the measure (SB 394), the fine for selling multipark or multiday passes after they have already been used once will balloon from no more than $500 to a maximum of $10,000. Repeat violations will also become a felony.
