Florida Parks in Nov.

I am going to Florida right before Thanksgiving, what parks should I make sure to hit. I know for sure I am going to Disney World, but that leaves a day or two open. Any suggestions? I really want to hit Islands of Adventures but I heard that Dueling Dragons is down becuase it is being painted. I sure hope not because I would be really disapointed if I'm down there and cant go on the Dragons. Thanks for any help.

I hadn't heard of Duelling Dragons being down, but if they aren't I'd definetly hit IOA and I'd also give Busch Gardens Tampa a shot.

Call IOA and ask which attractions are scheduled to be down at that time for annual maintenance. They'll be happy to help you.

BGT was a very nice supprise to me.

November is a very nice month to go, but expect the parks to be a little busy around Thanksgiving holiday week

But seriously folks, I respect the opinions of yall who don't like the thing, but if MF were human, I'd marry it.

I was at IOA last Thursday and DD was running full force. Now once Halloween Horror Nights is over, it's possible it could be closed, but around holidays I would think they would want their major attractions open. I would call and find out for sure. Personally, I don't think it needs painted, I've seen much worse. *cough*Mantis*cough*
I was just there last Sunday and Monday and the Dragons were up and running fine. Rumors persist that they might be taken down after October though. I'm not sure how crowds might be around Thanksgiving. We were there over Columbus Day weekend and it was a lot more crowded than we thought it was going to be. BG: Tampa is a great park. If you should decide to go, be forwarned that they are currently only running the Tiger side of Gwazi right now. They were even only running the one side during Howl-O-Scream (which was packed), so I assume that they will keep it this way during the off season. I had really wanted to see them duel too. The Tiger was still a great ride. Whereever you decide to go, have fun!

Do any parks/attractions close after Halloween or is it just an extension of the regular season?

Have fun in Florida!

I've heard that DD whould be painted as soon as the Halloween Horror Nights whould be over and reopen shortly before christmas.

Pleeeeaasse! Come see me at EPCOT! We dont have coasters, but if you want hilarious shows (Cranium Command, HISTA), a major thrill ride (Test Track) and lots and lots of minor stuff.
