Florida Marineland seeks new tourists with renovations

Billy Hurley, general manager of the Dolphin Conservation Center at Marineland, is in charge of the slick new image this historic tourist attraction is carving out for itself with a multi-million-dollar renovation. Hurley hopes to display new facilities worth $10 million next to the old ones in July -- with new pools where people can swim with dolphins, not just watch them -- and a renewed mission.

It's nice seeing this old attraction getting some new light. Carrie and I stopped by on our way back from Ft. Lauderdale a few years ago and while we didn't have time to go in it looked pretty cool. Just a side note Florida's Marineland was the aquatic park used in Revenge of the Creature which was the second Creature From The Black Lagoon movie.
