Florida bullet train and Disney.

The Florida High Speed Rail Authority gave tentative approval for the first leg of the bullet train to run from the Orlando Airport direct (and non-stop) to Disney property. Disney is donating 50 acres of land near the Osceola Pkwy and I-4 for the station.

There had been a great deal of controversy and dissent because Universal and the Orlando Convention Center wanted a stop over at the International Drive area. Disney vowed to not permit an on-property stop if it there was an indirect line from the airport.

In America, money talks once again.

www.sun-sentinel.com has the story.

I knew that Disney made an issue of that a long time ago... I didn't know that it was still unresolved.

if they want it to stop by universal and the convention center, they were going to put it aside of 417, which i am glad they didn't, because I don't want one right next to my house

Top Thrill in the front row... anything else is lame
X...Whoa

Reminds me of that catchy song they played in 88/89 for the ride from Fronteirtown to Mickey's Birthdayland,

Were goin', goin' on the express

Were goin on the Mickey's Birthdayland Express

A little tweaking with the lyrics and it could become that high speed line's theme song ;)
