What other parks have the scooters and who makes them. Who made PKI'S now PC'S, also has Carowinds made an announcement of the flyers. I heard from another website their going into there Nick Central area.

Thanks,

Jake

Off the top of my head...

Knoebels, Seabreeze, Conneaut Lake Park, Lake Compounce, Hersheypark, Indiana Beach & PGA.

I know I'm missing a few (possibly more) but that should get you started.

I could go for a fling scooter about now. ;)

Indiana Beach, Knoebel's, PKD, Holiday World, and Fun Spot all have scooters. Someone else can probably answer the rest of your questions.

LOL @ Dawn....

Good ones I've ridden: Fun Spot, PKI/PCar, and KG. Don't be TOO surprised if IB decides to allow snapping in the next year or two...they were *definitely* snap-able....;)

Hershey, I had no luck with, but some of the better *pilots* were able to get in a few good snaps (the op seemed more amused than annoyed, thankfully).

Who makes them? In the "good old days", Bisch-Rocco. Now, Larson.

edit: I don't know who *Scooter* is (other than perhaps Phil Rizzuto), but I could use a fling myself...;)

I understand that Hershey usually frowns upon snapping. I have yet to find that out for myself but I have heard a few people complain about that.

We rode IB's Air Crow on one of the first days it ran and it definitely had the potential to be a "snapable" ride. Time will tell if IB lets riders do that. But if any park would, it would be IB!

You don't need seperate genders for a fling. Just FYI. :)

Erieview Park in Geneva On The Lake, Ohio has a decent portable model... but snapping isn't exactly something that happens regularly thanks to the wing restrictor cables and the relatively slow speed at which the ride travels. Still, it's the only model left in Northern Ohio.

Here's more information that you could possibly want about our "fling":Eagle’s Flight/Flying Scooter· Manufacturer: Bisch-Rocco Amusement Company (Chicago, Illinois)· Model: Flying Scooter· Serial number: 0299· Number of vehicles: 8· Capacity per vehicle: 2 adults· Restraints: Lap belt· Height restrictions: At least 36 inches· Other restrictions: Heart problems, back/neck/bone injury, recent surgery or illness, pregnancy, high blood pressureHistory· For many years, the ride was in storage inside a barn in Michigan· Later operated at Mesker Park (Evansville, Indiana – Closed in 1975)· Purchased by Holiday World in 1976.

And for the record, we do not allow snapping. (Although I've been told it's a moot point, as the tubs are too heavy anyway.)

Thanks, Paula (rode 'em once; felt sick the rest of the day...but I never did "fling"!)
