Flight of Fear and Mr. Freeze

MarimbaGuy87:

I've been married longer than LIMs have been around. Consider that most other methods of powering roller coasters rely on basic technology that is a century or more old. Even pneumatics and hyraulics may be new to coasters, but the basic technology is much older than LIMs.

For anyone that cares, the LIMs at the top of the Spike at Mr. Freeze at SFSL do pull the train up the spike more and also push it back through the track. Without the reverse pull the train would not make it back to the station and it would get stuck in a low section.
I'm fairly sure that they don't pull it backwards...just accelerate it forwards a bit.

Whatever you say, but i work on the ride.
Mr. Freeze at SFOT doesn't push you down. It only pulls you to the top.
