Flashback at the Mountain

For what it is worth, not only is the tower open (or at least it was when I was there a couple of weeks ago) but the upper deck is AIR CONDITIONED!

Take that, Cedar Point! :)

Goliath Jr.?!!

It does have maximum height limit of 54", so the odds of any adult being able to ride it, beyond a midget, is slim to begin with.

And not riding Flashback was fate being kind.

^ Goliath Jr. DID run previously as Wile E. Coyote Coaster, without a height limit....or so Mooshie tells me... ;)

"Kind", IMO, would have been to have opened Flashie for an hour when the park was closed to the GP, so that ALL of those missing the ride would have had a chance (as it turned out, LAST chance) to find out what this UNIQUE ride really is all about....even if it really IS "all about the pain".

That's funny. Reminds me of the time when our group tried to ride some of the BBW rides, one adult per car. It looked stupid, slightly uncomfortable, but we were dying to ride a flat at SFMM that was at least slightly modern. Luckily, no pesky kids waiting in line.

For your sake, I hope FB does re-open so you can have your experience. If the park is open in 2007, your best chance at riding it is when HH isn't open. The noise levels from the ride are too high.

^^Flashback, Z-Force...whatever. The ride experience was horrible back in 2003 right before they closed it up. The way I hear people complain about SOB is kinda' how I felt after riding. The ride, while unique, needs rehab or the scrap heap.

Currently, you're not missing anything.

I remember Flashback being a headbanger but it was really fun for me. It's probably scrap-deserving now though.
I think if they took off the OTSRs on Flashie, it could be a fun ride. My wife and I rode it in '94 and actually went on it twice. Last time I remember going on it would have to have been... around '98? It's been closed every other time I've gone to the park (about twenty times total since then).

I'm from Chicago and it was the last thing I expected to be open when I went in April 03'. I was able to ride Flashback but not Colossus, since the station was closed for improvements, and now with the park slated for closure, I think I got ripped.
