Flashback at SFMM????

My family is planning a trip to California this year and we are stopping at SFMM. My question is why do people hate the Flashback? It looks like a cool coaster. Just wondering?
First of all, the trains make you feel like you're in a cage. Second, the ride is very slow. And third, it's very rough. Think of being locked in a small metal cage and then being rolled down a hill.
It's that bad? No thrill at all?
Flashback is not that bad! IMHO Flashback is a good coaster very thrilling. The trains are bad I can say that but if you know how to ride in them then Flashback is a great coaster. I think the twisted dives and drops are great the helix at the end is very fun and for the coaster to have a top speed of 30-35 mph it packs one hail of a punch!

I say ride Flashback if it's open, when you do ride it brace yourself b/c your in for a wild ride.
I thought it was pretty cool when it was at SFGAm. Of course, it was new and I don't remember it being rough, but I liked it. It was not spectacular, but it was fun.
Just a little info, flashback is about my 3rd or 4th favorite coaster at magic mountain. Let me just say this: it is cool if your head is above the otsr. The dives are really fun. However, if you're short, this ride is extremely brutal. I am tall, so I love this ride!
Any coaster that you should LEARN how to ride must NOT be that good!

The ride is rough, but you gotta love that twisted, tight layout. They could put it inside a mountain with some special effects and have a REALLY cool ride!

Decisions determine destiny; Destiny determines decisions.
I have rode Flashback in different weather conditions. This is What its likle in rain. Terrible all the padding feels hard.
In Sunshine it is a great ride
In Wind its sucks so bad becuase it feels like your frighting Mike Tyson for a heavyweight fight.

Golioath Rocks the west but Millinnium Force Rules The Rest
I've got to admit that quite a few years ago, Flashback was one of the rides I really wanted to ride. Way back when I saw a picture of it (when it was Z-force at Great America) in GAMES magazine and just thought it looked wild. I still think it is a pretty cool ride, but much more interesting to look at than to ride. It has novelty value, not much else.
Flashback was a creation done by Walter and Claude(B&M) when they worked for Intamin. It was the 1st coaster to have 4 across seating which obviously B&M loved very much. This was a prototype coaster that (to many peoples beliefs) was the only coaster of its type EVER built. Personally I didnt like this ride when it was Z-Force at SFGAm and I can see why it was the only one made. Dont get to excited about this coaster because its nothing special. Of course this is my opinion so treat it as such.

While I agree with APforce with the "how to ride" comment, it is not reason enough to not ride it. It has some of the wildest turns and headchoppers of any coaster.

If you hold on to the OSTR, push your head back and "brace for impact," you can enjoy your ride. I do this, and can sometimes get away without banging my head at all.

I think new modern B&M trains could solve the problem, but I doubt if that will happen soon.
