So, BATWING FAN, could you tell which of the three Vekomas was which?

I second your motion: please please please please give SFA at least ONE B&M coaster. Please?

The only fear i would have in SFI going under is the lending companies getting a hold of the properties and selling them out to developers. But with most of these parks there is a lot of new equipment. So even if it goes out of business the rides would be dispersed. Anyway, i still stick with the point that SFI has too many holdings at the moment. They go out and brand all these parks when they didn't have a brand concept or the tools in place to create and maintain said concept. Just running around and changing signs and building two to four coasters doesn't give the parks any consistancy or brand name value. The name "Six Flags" is just about worthless at this point.
The name may seem worthless in some aspects, but ask almost anyone what name they think of when they hear the word "amusement park" and it will most likely be Disney and Six Flags.

Its a staple in the industry whether people like the way they run their parks or not.

Now this is based on my homepark SFGAm. I truely believe that Jim Wintrobe (General Manager of the park), really takes pride in the daily operations of the Chicago area park. You hear of more positive TR's on this SF park than negative. He seems to have the right approach in terms of capacity, cleanliness, and friendly employees. I walk out of this park more times pleased than aggravated. Of course he is limited on what he can do and I am sure he has to do certain things that the corporate office tells him but for the most part, he is doing an excellent job.

So here's the *rub*, so to speak. Why is the GM at a park like SFGAm, where ops are obviously WAY above par for SF, not being promoted to a position where he could have a say in how *other parks* do it......hmmmm....;)

your company's name and logo HERE...effective advertising at great rates!
Good deeds go unnoticed gator. :)

If Jim got a position with the execs, it would be a step in the right direction.

They'd block most of his decisions just like they do other good people that work for them, trust me on that. Especially if it involved long term improvements over short term profit.

We just got a new general manager at SFWoA this year according to Shannon Pack. She said he has a thing about seeing multiple trains running on coasters to keep capacity high. That explains why I've seen two trains running on Dipper for the first time in many years with walk on capacity on slower days.

I was at a regional ACE event on Sunday and couldn't believe they were running two trains on Batman, Villian, Dipper, and X-Flight,(not sure about Double Loop) with light crowds. All the coasters were walk-ons, all day!! The park has been a lot worse in the past. But, there has been a lot of subtle changes to the park operations this year that are for the better. Hopefully these things will continue to be improved upon as this park suffered for years even before Six Flags.

I don't care how big, fast, steep you are, or even how many coasters you claim: there is always room for improvement!!

It might be hard to believe, but trust me when I say that the brass at Six Flags are listening when it comes to SFWoA. Trust me.

DELETED! What time does the water show start?

Jeff, why do you have to be such an egotistocal(sp?)maniac and act like you know what you're talking about??!!??;)

Actually, I feel that the biggest problems with Six Flags parks are as mentioned, cust. service, capacity, and I feel that they should sometimes skip a coaster or ride and just clean up and paint buildings/rides. The look of a park and the friendlyness of employees are my only 2 concerns in a park, and I feel that eventually, they will head in the right direction.
