A 70-year-old man's scuffle Friday night with workers at a Disney Springs restaurant over the wait time for his food led to a chaotic scene that caused patrons to be trampled, the Orange County Sheriff's Office said.
SHOTS FIRED at Disney Springs screamed the news reports for a few hours....
People fleeing, police everywhere, news cameras, helicopters...
Wait, no shots were fired? That's downright un-American!
This is precisely what we were talking about in another thread. Terrorists need not cause actual damage to win. This is where we are.
Now see, most a them fools bolted not out of terror, but to avoid paying for their meals. Have you seen the prices at Bongos lately? Crafty :\
So true Jeff. It is sad that an old guy having a temper tantrum leads to a near riot, panic and news media coverage.
Remind me to find a cranky 70-year old to take to dinner whenever I go out....
Notwithstanding the fine work many local media outlets -- print, broadcast and online -- do, all too often there's an "if it bleeds it leads/get it first not right" mindset in play.
