Fist fight misinterpreted as shooting at Disney Springs, chaos ensues

A 70-year-old man's scuffle Friday night with workers at a Disney Springs restaurant over the wait time for his food led to a chaotic scene that caused patrons to be trampled, the Orange County Sheriff's Office said.

People fleeing, police everywhere, news cameras, helicopters...

Wait, no shots were fired? That's downright un-American!

So true Jeff. It is sad that an old guy having a temper tantrum leads to a near riot, panic and news media coverage.

Remind me to find a cranky 70-year old to take to dinner whenever I go out....

Notwithstanding the fine work many local media outlets -- print, broadcast and online -- do, all too often there's an "if it bleeds it leads/get it first not right" mindset in play.
