First year of operation

What coaster would you have liked to go on in it's first year of operation. Mine would have to be the Texas Giant at SFOT and the Rattler at SFFT.Both of these rides have been modified considerably since their first year and are mere shadows of their untamed selves.

Colossus, it is a great coaster though it seems that it hasn't aged well. Besides, it was probably a lot better since it was reprofiled.

SFMM's Revolution, before the OTSR's were put on it.

Montu had a more intense batwing before the brakes were put there. I swear I would almost black out before it...but now, they make it like no forces hit you.

I'd have to say the Bat at PKI since it is no longer there and I have a weak spot for suspended coasters (Iron Dragon Crew '98), or really I'd take any coaster, just to ride!

wild one at SFA before it was re-profiled.
The Thunderbolt in 1924 (back when it was the Pippin) :) at Kennywood.

I saw the Texas Cyclone in a Hendrix video, and was instantly interested, until I saw current pictures of it and these cars with really high backs(?), what are those?

As for the Giant and Rattler, what did they do? I thought the Giant was up for restoration, hadn't heard anyone comment on that ride as being tamed down.

Anyways, mine: DF(period, I got ripped off), SP(at least the TV specials of yesteryear give me a chance to see what she was), ZForce(they moved it!), Blue Streak with the "danger" bar I like to call it, Rebel Yell with the danger bar, and probally the Viper with the Tidal Wave theme. Anything else, I guess I still really have the oppurtunity to ride, unless there's stuff I probally forgot, and of course there is.
Revolution, Mean Streak, Rebel Yell, Drachen Fire, Magnum.

I'll take......the Crystal Beach Cyclone.
i would have loved to get on the mean streak in it's first year of operation.
Hercules at Dorney Park. Was probably a great ride then. Over the years they had to "tame" it to make it more acceptable to the GP, to the point where now it does nothing for ya.

Viper @ SFMM: Before they added breaks after the boomerang section. Going though the corkscrews at a high rate of speed is better than almost stopping at the top of them.
